Karan's Perspective:
"YOU," " YOU " we both exclaimed simultaneously.
"What the hell?" " What the hell ? " we echoed in unison once more.
"Stop copying me!" " Stop copying me!"
"'are you both playing a game or something? Stop shouting; it's making me dizzy," Sid interjected from beside me.
I couldn't believe my eyes. Standing before me was the same girl from the airport—the one who spilled juice on my suit. She seemed equally shocked to see me. For a moment, we just stood there, staring at each other in disbelief.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked, my voice tinged with annoyance.
"What am I doing here? What are you doing here? Are you stalking me?" she retorted, a mix of surprise and irritation in her voice.
"Hardly, the universe has a twisted sense of humor," I replied calmly after a few seconds.
Her eyes narrowed, and she snatched the dress I was holding, instructing the salesgirl to pack it for her.
"You can't take that dress; I was holding it in my hand. You can't snatch it from me," I said coldly.
"Huh, as if you can order me around. I want this dress, and I'm taking it. You can't do anything about it."
"Don't test my patience and leave that dress," I said sternly.
"Well, Mr. Tower, trust me; that dress isn't going to fit you. I must say your taste in fashion is very... unique and impressive. If you want, I can get you one in a bigger size. I'm sure you'll look great and catch the eyes of many men—oops, I meant women," she said with an extra sweet and cheeky fake smile.
Sid burst into fits of laughter, finding the situation amusing. "OH MY GOD! I can't even imagine you wearing that. But you'll surely look sexy in that, boo bear," he said, joining her in laughter.
This girl is treading on thin ice, I swear. No one, I repeat, NO-ONE has ever disrespected me like she just did. I am not a very nice man, girl or not. I can ruin her whole life with a snap of my fingers. I took a threatening step towards her, and she appeared slightly intimidated, her giggles subsiding. Before I could express my anger, an unfamiliar voice interrupted us.
"What's going on, Kia?" the girl asked her friend, then turned toward me, looking slightly surprised. "Oh, Mr. Birla! You here?" she said, addressing me. I gave her a slight nod, "Miss Khanna." I suddenly realized that this girl was the daughter of Ajit Khanna.
Kia's Perspective:
Wait, what? I snapped my head toward Natasha, wondering how she knew this obnoxiously arrogant man. We'll have to talk about this later.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Miss Sassy Khanna. Fancy seeing you here. Don't tell me you missed me so much that you followed me all the way here," remarked the guy whose name I believe is Sid, with a smirk.
"What the heck, Mehra? Why are you always around me like a leech? Don't you remember the last time you appeared in front of me? You almost lost your precious jewel to me?" Nats retorted, her irritation evident.
How does she know him now? And why is she behaving like this? She never even spares a glance at men, let alone banter with one.
"Awww, you hurt me, Natasha darling! I know you adore me and would never do that to me. After all, you can't resist my charms," he said with a wink.
"Ugh, Mehra, get your annoying ass away from in front of me. Looking at your rotten face even for 2 microseconds makes me puke." Seriously? Rotten face? That was the best insult she could come up with? This guy is literally a walking Adonis.
Wait, wait, wait. Mehra? Sid? No, it can't be... This guy standing in front of me is Siddharth Mehra!? The guy whose company collaborated with Ajit uncle's company for launching the chain of new Heritage hotels? And not to forget, Natasha hates him with all her might. Oh dear lord, what in the world is happening here?
While they bicker, I notice someone's absence. I look around in search of him. Where is he? Then I look down to see the dress still in my hand. Did the angry young man lose the argument and leave? I smirk at the thought.
*Don't think too highly of yourself; he must've left because he couldn't tolerate your ugly ass anymore.*
Ah, and here comes the unwanted remark. Who asked you to open your mouth?
*Well, I am you, so I have this habit of poking my nose even where it isn't required.*
Ugh, this annoying voice in my head. I ignore her comment and head to the cashier to pay for the dress.
As I'm getting the shopping bag, Natasha arrives with a scowl and says, "Let's just get out of here."
"Yeah, and we need to talk," I reply, looking in the direction where Sid left.
Karan's Perspective:
I left the place and came out of the mall to leave because I couldn't stand that brat anymore. I waited near my car for Sid, who arrived shortly. This guy has some weird fascination with picking fights with Miss. Khanna.
As we were about to get into the car, I saw her coming out of the mall. Our eyes met, and I could sense mischief in her gaze. She approached me, standing a hand's distance away, and elevated the shopping bag slightly, looking at me mischievously.
She took a step forward and whispered, "I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it."
She returned to her spot with a satisfied smirk and left.
"OH MY FREAKING GOD! This girl is so awesome, Karan. I need to tell this to Abhi. Close your mouth, boo bear, and let's go," Sid exclaimed.
I gave him a glare and drove off.
