They left us with an exceeding quantity of group reports and homeworks. Argh! I hate being here. As always.
"Class, be prepared ha? May long quiz kayo bukas." Mahinhin na sabi ng pre-cal teacher namin habang maingat niyang sinusuklay ang buhok niya.
Stress na kami, tapos dadagdag pa 'to. And unfortunately, I understand nothing. She can't even explain the lecture properly. How am I supposed to pass our quiz?
"Beh, gets mo ba?" Lumapit saakin 'yong best friend ko. Dala dala niya 'yong binder at ballpen niya.
"Nope haha" Nilapit ko 'yong upuan sa tabi ko, so she can sit beside me.
"Pa'no tayo papasa nito? Hindi naman nagtuturo ng maayos si ma'am." Nakatitig lang siya doon sa problem na nakasulat sa notes niya. Pilit na iniintindi kung paano nakuha 'yong final answer.
"Pray nalang tayo", we chuckled.
Sana katulad ako ng iba kong kaklase na madaling matuto. Buti pa si Jay, pinanganak yatang matalino.
I was hopeless. I was having a lot of breakdowns. I didn't know what to do. All I knew was, 'I need to pass.'

"Jayyyyyy! Paturo naman oh. Please..."
It is very chaotic! Halos lahat sila nagsisiksikan doon sa table sa likod, umaasang matuturuan ni Jay.
We are desperate.
Hindi na sila naawa, kailangan din mag-review ni Jay. Pero hindi niya magawa dahil ang daming nagpapa-tutor sakaniya. At isa na rin ako do'n hehe.
"That's it? Gano'n lang pala kadali?" I reassured him. Finally! I have now a little bit of hope.
He just coldly nodded before getting back to his seat.
"Thank you so much." I am relieved now. Siguro naman may maisasagot na ako nito sa quiz.
"Jay! Paturo" tinawag siya no'ng katabi ko. Hindi naman siya nagreklamo at tahimik lang na lumapit sa katabi ko.
"Paturo ulit, Jay!" Nagpabalik balik si Jay sa harap, sa likod at sa kung saan para maturuan ang lahat.
"Naiinis ka na ba?" I asked. Mukha na kasi siyang pagod kakaturo eih. Kawawa naman, hindi na siya nag-re-review.
"Hindi" maiksi niyang sagot.
Actually, he can teach more effectively than our teacher.
She confidently walked inside after being 5 minutes late. Paano 'yan, hindi na isang oras 'yong quiz. Mukhang 'di ko 'to matatapos ah.
"Paglayu-layuin niyo 'yong mga upuan" siya na rin mismo nag-usog no'ng ibang chair. Excited ka ma'am?
I immediately pray to God for wisdom before taking the quiz. I know I can do this. God is with me.
Uhm... Actually this isn't as complicated as I expected. This is way easier than I thought it was gonna be.
May ilan lang na nahirapan ako at may isa akong hindi nasagutan dahil "time out" na raw. Eih kung hindi ka po sana na-late na dumating.
But it's fine. I did my best, I guess? Because of him, I am able to answer the questions properly.

I thought the passing score was half of the perfect score. I thought I passed. I only got 24 out of 35. Argh! Gusto ko magdabog.
But it's fine, Gretelle. It's fine. Marami pang pagkakataon to redeem yourself.
