"Now, this time, I'm going to group everyone in random groups. I don't want anyone to cry and complain about it." Coach Mackleroy instructed the students.
There were several sighs, while the Coach grinned. "Alright, here's the deal, if you and your partner cooperate properly, you'll get your friends back.".
The children's faces slowly started to light up as the Coach called out their names, "Amelia and Zachary, Jake and Lucy, Andrea and Trevor, Tina and Norman, Dale and Stacy, and finally, Niall and Tara."
And boy, was that a big mistake.
After finding the brown-haired girl behind me, I inquired: "Are you Tara?" she replied with a subtle, shy yes.
After that, we spent time together, mainly to work on projects, but slowly, I'd gained an interest in her. Slowly, we became friends.
For me, a friend is someone who cares about you, who has your back, who holds your hand, who laughs with you, who has an open heart as wild as yours, and that's who Tara was. The perfect, and best friend I ever could have asked for.
My face would always get huge all the time when I saw her coming out of her house across the street from mine, and whenever I was with her, I could look into her eyes and know, "I trust this person." As time passed, our friendship progressed as well. I loved her, though a bit too much.
I was attached to her like a moth to a light. She was my only goal in life. We did everything together. Her parents thought of me as their own. I loved her more than anyone. I couldn't live without her.
She, was my destiny.
My miracle.
My hope.
My friend.
My happiness.×××××××××
