Recap:
"What if I say no?" he asks, I then pouted and huffed
"Fine, I'll ask Dick or Cassandra or somebody," I say walking away, a hand then grabbed my wrist
"Geez...Learn how to take a joke," Jason says with a smug smile
Present:
Y/N's POV:
"You live pretty close to my apartment," Jason says dropping me off in front of my apartment
"Yeah," I then also looked at my clothes "I'll return the clothes tomorrow,"
"Okay, goodnight babe," he chuckles and says driving away
"I'm not your babe!" I said shouting from afar, he then waved his hands and I flipped him off, I chuckled and walked into my apartment building, I opened the door and see everything is left the way it was the way I left it, I then see the bag of kibbles open and Luna sleeping, I sighed.
"Sorry, Luna," I said stroking her, she purrs in response "Well, I skipped a day of school, probably going to get scolded tomorrow,"
I then looked at my phone and realized that today is Friday, which means tomorrow is Saturday.
"Welp I guess the scolding will be a future me problem," I shrugged my shoulders, I then got into the shower and let the warm water hit me, after getting dressed for bed and I dumped all my laundry into the machine, along with the clothes I borrowed, I then got a text:
Cass: Hey Y/N! I was wondering if you want to get coffee tomorrow morning with Steph and me?
Me: Yeah
I think I'm free tomorrow morning
Cass: Great! Meet us at Gotham's Grind at 9:00 am :D
When was the last time I actually hung out with people? Eh, it's probably because I mostly hate everyone and I don't feel like socializing with people. I then flopped onto my bed and Luna sat next to me. I then receive another text, but this time it was from Damian:
SmolKid: Y/N I would like you to know that I want a rematch for chess. And victory would be mine.
Me: I'll be looking forward to it.
I then turned off my phone and charged it. I then turned off the lights and drifted off to sleep.
The Next Morning (8:50 am):
Y/N's POV:
I made it to Gotham's Grind and I brought the clothes I borrowed last night. I then don't see Cassandra and Steph. I then pulled out my phone and started to text Cassandra.
Me: Are you guys here yet?
Cass: Huhhhhhh??? You're already there???
Steph and I will be there in 5 mins. Order yourself something, and save a seat for us!
I put my phone away and went on the line to order a cup of coffee and something to eat. I looked at the menu placed on the wall and looked at what there is to eat on the display.
"Good morning ma'am, what would you like to order?" a teenage boy asks me
"I'll get a black coffee and a cheese toastie," I tell him
"Okay, that will be $10.05. And what is your name?" I then handed him the money
"Y/N," I said, as he hands me the receipt
I then waited at a booth, I then see Cass and Stephanie entering the coffee shop, I waved my hands to indicate that I'm there, and behind them, I see Tim and Jason.
"Good morning Y/N!" Cass beams
"Morning," I smiled softly, I then returned the neatly folded clothes "Here are the clothes,"
"Thanks. These bozos wanted to tag along," she says referring to Jason and Tim
"It's fine," I said assuring her "You can go and order your coffee,"
"Hey scoot over," Jason says shoving me into the wall
"Rude," I scowled "Don't you need to order something,"
"Nah, Cass got it," he says
"Y/N!" I hear someone calling my name, which means that my order is here
"Jason I need you to get out so I can get my coffee and my food," I said telling him to get out of the booth seat
"Make me," he says with a smugged grin, I sighed and pulled his chiseled face, I grabbed it harshly and I stared dead into his eyes
"Get out," I stated sternly
"Geez okay babe," he chuckles, I then poked him on the forehead harshly "Ow,"
"Not your babe," I tell him, he then gets out of the booth and I went to get my order, I then returned to the booth with my black coffee and cheese toastie, and Jason then sat next to me once again
"Black coffee? No wonder why you're such a bitter person," he chuckles, Cass then returns with more coffees and a couple of pastries, he then takes one that is marked Jason on it, I then turned to Tim who looks tired
"What's up with you, Tim?" I asked, Tim, had dark circles and heavy eyebags
"Computer Science Essay," he states and drank his coffee, and smacked his head on the table
"Well you better have fun while you can, your senior year will suck even more," I said sipping my coffee and taking a bit out of my cheese toastie
"What major do you take?" Stephanie asks
"I take Business," I stated "You?"
"Criminology," she says sipping her coffee
"That's a good major to study, especially when you know..." I said raising my eyebrows "How about you Cass?"
"I graduated last year, I'm a ballerina at Gotham's Theater," Cassandra says "You should come and watch one of my performances,"
"That sounds amazing!" I smiled, everybody then finished up their coffee and we continued to talk about our lives without the vigilante part of it, I've learned how their lives were like before they went under Bruce's wing
"You stole one of the tires of the Batmobile?" I whispered to him
"Yeah, it was kinda funny..." he says, he sounded so high and mighty "Also, how are your injuries?"
"Getting better, still sore. I will probably be fine after a couple of months," I said rolling my shoulders back "But I have to do something about my wrist..."
"Oh shoot! I have practice soon. I'll you guys later," Cassandra says looking at her watch and exiting the coffee shop, and later one by one everyone started leaving, and it was only Jason and I left.
