(In current time, y/n is 21 and c!quackity is 22.)

(The name 'Alex' is used for quackity since this is a flashback, and 'ducky' is the nickname y/n gave him)

Third person, 14 year flashback:

"Mommy can I go play with ducky?"

"Of course sweetie, but afterwards me and you're father have to discuss future plannings with you" y/n's mother, Queen Alinnath kneeled down slightly to her daughter's height.

"Yay! Thank you momma, you're the best!" Little y/n replied, doing a little curtsy before dashing off into the castle halls towards one of the living rooms ducky/Alex's family were currently seated for discussions unimportant to the two 7 and 8 year olds.

"Duckyyy!"

"N/nnnn!!"

The two had been inseparable since babies, as they're parents were neighboring kingdoms. They spent almost everyday together, never getting bored with eachothers presence.

"Want to play swords?" Little Alex asked y/n. Y/n nodded and they both ran up to the playroom to grab their wooden swords.

"ah Perra! You got me n/n" Alex sighed in defeat as he was held in sword point against a wall.

"Hmm I guess girls are just the better fighters then ducky " y/n giggled.

"In your dreams, cariña!" Alex responded tsking.

"Huh? What does those words mean?" Y/n asked curiously.

"Uhh im not really sure, I just hear my dad say it to my mom sometimes, it probably means something good tho, like a best friend" Alex shrugged.

"Ohh..."

Alex and y/n laid on the bare floor from exhaustion from the time spent play fighting.

"N/n, you know how old people do that stupid marriage thing when they're around each other for a long time?" Alex asked y/n out of the blue.

"Yeah, why?" Y/n questioned back turning her head to look at her best friend.

"Do you think maybe.. I dunno.. when we're older... we'll do that?" Alex looked back at y/n, the two spread out on the cold polished floor.

Little y/n thought a second before responding, "hmm, maybe.. I guess we could get to play everyday if we do? Once we're that age I promise we'll have something like that, we can play go fish everyday!!" Y/n once again giggled after saying her favorite game, making Alex giggle along.

"Alex, its time to go ceriño!" Alex's mom's voice rung, obviously quite irritated with whatever the grown-ups were talking about.

"aww, just five more minutes mama?!" Alex yelled back, taking y/n's arm with his in hopes to stay a little longer.

"NO AL- .. I'm sorry, Alex.. im sorry but we must go now" Alex's mom almost shouted, clearly frustrated.

Alex frowned and stood up, helping y/n up aswell.

"See you later ducky" y/n hugged Alex.

"Adios n/n" Alex hugged back.

Little did the poor children know, that would be their last goodbye. At least for a while.
