Y/n's pov:

The orcitra's music was practically vibrating through my body. And the constant shaking in my hands due to stress and anxiety wasn't helping either.

In just an hour from now, I will officially be Leader of the kingdom. I have to tell myself its what I want, or else ill most likely run.

Running from your responsibilities isn't the best coping mechinism but right now, it didnt sound too bad.

"Princess Y/n, it's time.", One of my family's assistants told me.

Yes we're called Princesses, princes, Queens and Kings, but I never liked labeling it like that, so I just call us Leaders.

"Okay, Gracias mucho Oliver" I subcontiously replied, now picking at my nails.

An old childhood friend use to teach me some Spanish so I've used it randomly ever since.

Although I don't really like talking about him after I was able to send him a letter 2 years back, he never replied so I assumed he just didn't care anymore. And I had to accept that and move on.

"Ladies And Gentlemen, may I present to you, Princess Y/n. The new-coming ruler of Lingardian Kingdom." An announcer said, with trumpets playing in the background.

I felt like I could of fainted right there and then when he spoke, but that would look bad so I mustered up the strength not to.

As I looked over the crowds of people, two men carrying what seemed to look like a very fancy decorative pillow in a glass case with a crown inside, placed it down infront of me.

I tried steadying my breathing so I don't look like a fool in front of all these important people.

Right as the fancy pillow thing was placed, my mother and father came to the side of me, ready to say their speeches.

"Y/n, your mother and I have been waiting for this moment since you were only a child. And now its finally becoming a reality. We both know you will make a great leader for the centuries to come."

Then they did a few more little speeches blah blah, pretending they aren't just doing this because they want to retire. And then finally, the crown was placed on my head.

The crowd consisting of hundreds of people started cheering and clapping.

And I felt like I could definitely take a nap just about now, but sadly I would have to wait until after greeting the guests and asking how their experience was, yada yada.

It had been an exhausting total of 5 hours, just of greeting people and making sure all the food preparations were perfect.

Now its just the after party going on, mostly drunk old people talking about random things like the ice sculptures for hours at a time. Pathetic.

I was resting against a pillar with a glass of punch in my hand because I didn't want to get drunk tonight. I did change into something more comfortable earlier tho, I got a couple of stares from it looking too 'masculine' but I really dont care.

Just simple slacks, white button up and suspenders although one came sliding down my side so now its just hanging,

but again I dont care.
