The Underlander Warrior

Chapter two

"Sound the alarm!" Vikus shouts. Everything burst into frantic activity. Mareth runs too get Axel and Andromeda. They arrive not even a minute later. I rush over too him. 

"They say we're too go on a quest. The Gnawers they found Fangor and Shed Ax.. they're trying to get into Regalia." I say. He does a single nod. No questions asked. I load my belt with my two daggers at my left side my sword on my right. We rush over too where the rest of the quest has gathered. 

Its Luxa, Aurora, Henry, Ares, then Gregor and his sister strapped too his back. Then Vikus and Solovet and their fliers. 

As we take flight i lay on my back. My head resting on Axels neck. 

"Lina how fare you?" Henry mocks. 

"I fare fine jackass." I say he caught me sobbing last night he walked into me and Mareths apartment yesterday to update on the Overlander. And is now making fun of me. 

"Touchy touchy little girl." Henry coos. 

"Take this kindly. Shut your trap your highness." I sneer tilting my head towards him. 

I hear Axel Biting back a laugh. 

"How dare you speak to a member of the royal family with such attitude guard." Luxa says with such a gasp i almost laugh. 

I stay silent. 

"Vikus?" I shout sitting up. 

"Yes Lina?" He says.

"Who's gonna be on this quest?" 

"Two over. Gregor and Boots, Two under of royal decent Henry and Luxa, a young warrior you, three fliers Axel, Ares and Aurora, two crawlers, and two spinners." Vikus says. 

"Alright thank you vikus." I respond laying back down. I close my eyes and when the two royal dipshits think I'm asleep they make fun of me.  

"God she is so Pathetic you should have seen her last night with Mareth he was saying how hard her life has been it sure as hell hasn't been worse then ours. She's just a pathetic freak."

"I mean lets think about this Henry. Since she's probably lying about her family being killed by Gnawers. It wouldn't have been guard who killed them. No lets be honest, it was probably some outcast, scrawny, pathetic loser." Luxa says her voice so full of mockery i could have punched her. 

"Some one who's too busy sword fighting too get laid.  Some smug, moody, warrior fan girl freak. Like Lina. What was it love suicide when you killed your family. You did do stuff too the body's like after right?" Henry jokes.

"Watch how you speak Luxa, Henry." Vikus warns. 

"It's called Necrofelia Henry can you spell it." I spit at him. He gets very rilled up. 

"Whats her?" Gregor asks. "Why her for the warrior?"

"My human and i bonded when i was seven in bat years and she was six. Her father and sister had just been killed and her mother had just lost custody of her and she'd been put under Mareths guardianship . She started training with me thats how we met. We instantly clicked. She's been bullied her whole life taken for granted. I think shes brave and strong and she's had to indure more then most." Axel says. "She had constant abuse at home. She deserves better but this is what she got. And shes the best fighter of her age of anyone shes right up there with Mareth." 

Gregor just sits there in complete shock everybody's quiet. I sit up and stay quiet. We stopped first with the fliers. Vikus and solovet arrenged to have a privet war meeting with them. 

Axel took a nap. 

"Hello little sheep." I chuckle walking over to Gregor. 

"Hewo" the little girl says lifting her arms up. I pick her up and swing her around. 

"Hello little sheep." I smile and kiss her little curly head. 

"Boo boo." She points at my forehead. 

"Yeah, but its okay nothing too bad." I kiss her sweaty little forehead. 

Mareth flys over. "Sorry it took me a bit to come over to you guys." He touches my shoulder. 

"How fare you Mareth." I say resting my head on his shoulder. 

"I fare fine." He kisses the top of my head. 

I see Henry scoop up boots. "Want to go for ride on bat boots?" He asks.

"I ride!" She shouts gleefully. 

"Then ride you!" He shouts and throws her off the side of the piller.

Gregor gasps and staggers to the side of the piller. I glare daggers at Henry and Luxa who are laughing uncontrollably. 

Boots is in the air on a bat she falls off and the flier catches her over and over her happy giggle is heard all around. 

"More! More!" Boots shouts.

"Stop it!" Gregor snaps at the royals. Henry and Luxa look surprised. Gregor grabs Henry by the front of his shirt "bring her in now!" 

Henry put up his hands in mock surrender. "Take ease, overlander. She is in no danger." 

"In truth shes safer with the bats then us." Luxa pipes in. 

"She's two!" Screams Gregor wheeling on her. "She's gonna think she can jump off anything and be caught!" 

"She can!" Luxa says not seeing the problem. 

"No, she cannot. Ive been up there remember. My father was an Overlander. There are large tall concrete building things that she will not be caught from. Now bring her down." I say my voice stern. 

They bring her down and Gregor holds her close to his heart. He sits away and ignores all of us. I go lay with my back against Axel. 

(Im skipping this cause i like book two more.) 

I lay limp on Axels back. Everything in so much pain. My head gushing blood. Henry died he turned out to be a traidor and his bond ares saved gregor from certain death and we found their dad.
