Groaning to be met with a set alarm, Miko sat up. Her hair a big mess on the top of her head. Miko took a second to remember that her and Mitch had teammate bonding today. Wonder what Phil has in store for them...

Getting out of bed, Miko put on her work uniform and put her gauntlet on. Grabbing her phone from the charger, she went downstairs ready to face her family.

"Goodnorning, Miko!" Her mother cheerily exclaimed, "I can't believe you're missing my tournament over work." Her younger sister whined, while her brother ate his food quietly. "I know, but me and Five split up and now I have a new work buddy.. and we have work buddy bonding time today." Miko replied, grabbing food and getting ready to text Mitch. And speak of the devil her phone buzzed.

Dingleberry: Gm, Twerp. I'm just about ready, are you?

Miko: Yeah, I am too, I'll wait for you outside?

Dingleberry: Yeah, be over there in 5

Miko: Alright, sounds good.

Quickly gathering her things, Miko left. But she didn't forget to respond to the chorus of "goodbyes" behind her. As soon as she closed the door, the sound of Mitch rolling up in the van was heard. Miko quickly hobbled over to the van and got in.

"Alright, we don't have to actually like each other, we just have to play this out until the end of the day. Deal?" The blonde asked, reaching his hand out for Miko to shake. Said blueberry accepted and shook her partner's hand. "Ew, now I have to sanitize my hand.." The duo said in union.

Arriving at the destination Phil told them, they saw Zahra and Five arrive too. All four of them exited their vehicles and stood to wait for Phil. Mitch and Zahra ignored each other, while Miko and Five approached each other. "Hey.. Five..." Miko said, trying to break the tension.

"I-I'm sorry.." They both said together, but the damage was already done. They looked at eachother, their eyes full of regret and sorrow. "Still best friends?" Miko said, reaching out the hand that wasn't contaminated. Five laughed and accepted the handshake. "Still best friends, Miko. Nothing could change that." The two of them smiled in each other's presence.

"I better get back to Zahra, and you should probably get back to Mitch.. before Phil yells at us." Miko laughed and walked back over to Mitch.

"How in the hell did you do that?" Mitch asked, "We're friends, best friends at that. When you're someone's best friend, you don't just break it off from them forever, you'll come around eventually!" Miko said, her mood boosted by a million.

Mitch's surprised expression softened, just how weird and sappy was this twerp? Man, he wished him and Zahra were like that still, like when they were cadet techs.

Mitch caught himself subconsciously smiling, and Miko staring at him like a kid in a candy store. "The Mitch Williams smiled... at me?!" Miko said, trying to sound like a fan, the sarcasm ringing through clearly. Mitch almost laughed at that, how?

Was there something wrong with the blonde? Is he sick? Worry clouded his mind, but he was snapped out of it once Phil arrived and started speaking.

"Now, you all need to form some type of bond with your new partners, and today is when we're going to do it!" The ginger said, Bitt following him and showing what they where going to do.

"Each duo is going to participate in an escape room! And each puzzle in the escape room will require each teammate to pitch in and help! And of course, there's going to be glitches throughout the rooms! Good luck, Techs!" Bitt said, enthusiastically.
