--Keith POV--

I woke up to my head hurting as hell and when I reached up to ease the pain I found ears.

Big. Fluffy. Galra ears.

I Ran to the bathroom and fair enough, my whole body was purple and was covered in fur. I had Galra ears and a tail similiar to a lions. "No no no- fuck" I said panicking. Suddenly I heard knocking on my door "Hey mullet, Allura wants us all in the training room so hurry up!

Lance.

"Go away!" I shouted back. Aint no way im gonna let anyone see me like this. Silence followed after so I tough it was safe to come out and get a snack. It in fact was not.

I started making my Way to the kitchen when suddenly I heard a high pitched scream behind me, I whipped around my fur standing up, and saw Lance staring at me with pure shock in his eyes.

Well shit.

"L-Lance! I can explai-" "OH MY GOD KEITH YOU ARE A CAT!" what? "Uh- wh-" "Can i pet your ears?? They look so fluffy!" He said basically running up to me.

"Okay, first of all-" but before i could finish my sentence the castle alarms began blaring. "Paladins, get to your lions!" Allura shouted over the coms.

I rushed to Red sitting down in the cockpit and gently patting the control panel.

"Hey Red"

"Hey catboy"

"Red- what the fuck"

I could hear Red laughing in my head before i blasted off into space. "Okay team, this wont be an easy battle" Shiro's voice sounded trough my helmet. "Yeah i can see that" Lance answered.

And he was right, there were not one, not two but three galra cruisers slowly floating towards us.

(Im horrible at writing fighting scenes, sorry if its gonna be cringe 😍💅)

"Lance, Pidge you guys take the one on the right, Keith and Hunk the one on the left and ill go for the middle one"  Shiro commanded and we all flew into battle. (idk 😭)

"Hunk ill go for the cruiser, cover me!" I yelled over the coms. "On it" came the answer. I blasted off into the direction of the cruiser while Hunk took out fighters left and right.

Everything was going well untill...

I felt Red shake and then she just.. shut off. "Red? Whats wrong bud?" I asked. Silence. "Guys i think Red is down" i said. More silence. Great, my coms went offline too.

Suddenly Red shook once again and roared, loud enough for the other paladins to look towards me. Damn, did i do that? "Keith, whats going on?" Pidge asked. "I dont know, Red and my coms shut off for a second there and then- WOAH!"

I couldnt finish my sentence when Red took off full speed towards the cruiser.

"Red! What are you doing!"

"I feel something!"

"Well, can you not feel it mid-battle?!"

"No, its inside the cruiser!"

"What?"

And with that Red busted into the side of the battleship and i jumped out. I was in a huge storage room filled with shiny things. (Like jewelery and stuff idk) But what really caught my attention was a necklace in the very back of the room.

I walked over to it and picked it up carefully. It began glowing a faint red wich kinda suprised me but i still put it around my neck. I mean whats the worst that can happen, i die?

I rushed back to Red and got back into battle. "Keith!" "Keith what happened?" "Your coms went offline" i could hear my teammates worried questions.

"Sorry guys, i just looked around the cruiser to see if there are any prisoners and i guess my coms shut off somehow" i lied. I didnt know what this necklace did yet but somehow i didnt feel safe telling the others.

We took out the rest of the Galra ships and headed back to the castle. When we got there i immidiently went to my room, careful not to be seen since i was still in my galra form.

I locked my door, put the necklace next to my knife under the pillow (cuz who doesnt sleep with a knife under their pillow 😌) and flopped down on my bed falling asleep almost instantly.

Sorry that this chapter is so short, school has been draining all my time, motivation and will to live
