"Are you sure he'll be alright?" Luke asked, as soon as class was over. I ended up daydreaming all class about how June and I met.
"Yes, I've seen them fight. It's quite fun." I chuckled, then quickly rushed out of the room and fought against the crowd of students to get to June.
"Hey," I giggled.
"What's so funny?" June asked, a little growl in their voice.
"Was thinking back to when we first met and messed that guy up. You're doing more damage than me." I said, "how was class?"
"Well, that guy had been throwing things at me all class. I was ready to jump him, but I also don't want to ruin my time here with you." June said.
"Don't worry, we'll get him back later today." I said, putting my arm around them and looking back to Brick. Brick was looking at them with burning hatred. I didn't know why he was so angry at us.
"So, what's the next class?" June asked.
"Gym, so we better get to the locker room." I said, then froze. "Are you going to be okay? They said you had to use the male locker room."
"Yeah, I do have you and Luke with me." June said. I nodded to him, and we rushed over to the locker room.
As we got there, there were already some people waiting outside the gym. We're not to enter the gym until the teacher says so that he can get a head count. We entered the male locker room and saw Luke almost instantly.
"NO, THERE'S TWO OF THEM?" I heard someone yell. I look over and see its Travis, the school clown.
"Yes, double trouble. Now cut the jokes, you know they make you a target." Luke said competitively. Luke loves competitions and starting fights.
The two of them looked at each other, you could see the types of competitions that were about to start just flying in the air. June and I ignored them as we went over to a couple lockers and started placing a few things inside them.
We began to get undressed and changed before I noticed that eyes were on us. I turn and see people looking at us, or at June directly. I didn't know why so I looked and understood.
June looked back at me and began blushing as we're standing there in just our underwear. I was in a pair of black boxer-briefs and June was in women's underwear. To everyone else, it may have seemed super weird, but I thought it was super-hot. More so with how toned their body is. Each of their muscles were very well defined.
"Damn, when you said he could take care of himself you weren't joking." Luke said, breaking the tension.
"Dude, why are you in women's panties?" Travis asked.
"Please don't call me 'dude', and because they're comfortable. Should I ask why you wear boxers?" June asked, grabbing his gym shorts and sliding them on after pointing to Travis's underwear.
"What Travis is trying to ask is why are you wearing them outside of comfort? You're a guy after all." Jeremey asked. Jeremey is on the baseball team, which Brick happens to also be on.
"No, I'm not." June said, pulling their shirt over their head. "I'm Non-Binary, I use They/Them pronouns as well as He/Him pronouns. Just as well, I'm not gendered, nor are clothing."
This had everyone except me surprised. I had also finished changing at the same time as June and so we were just getting our shoes on. Everyone was still frozen in surprise at what June had said. We finished getting our shoes on and I looked at them. It's sort of fun seeing June annoyed or upset, their speech changes and they seem like a different person.
