you narrow your eyes softly at eleven, she seemed more distant, as if something was bothering her.
you look over at peter, frowning deeply at the just slightly visible bruise mark on the back of his neck.
you take his hand behind your back, looking worriedly at him.
"what are they doing to you, baby?" you say softly, he quickly covers up the mark by pulling up his collar slightly.
you look down guiltily, "i'm sorry my father's like this, peter"
he smiles slightly at you, "don't worry about it, gorgeous. it's not your fault"
you smile slightly, squeezing his hand tighter.
another worker steps over to you, you remember him as a good friend of that lady nurses.
he leans over to you slightly, "have you seen clara at all?"
you remember clara to be the woman who showed up at your door last night.
you send him a worried look, "no, i'm afraid i haven't. has something happened to her?"
