Lee Chaerin, Baby I Miss You

***

CHAERIN, JIYONG

Chaerin stared up into Jiyoung's face as something tight and breathless stretched between them.

It  wasn't exactly quiet; the thunder of the bass from the club's sound  system still thudded and vibrated through the steel door she was pressed  up against.

Jiyong's face was pale and because he stood partly  in shadow, she couldn't see his eyes. After what she had just asked him  to do, some of the mad heat had ebbed from her head and now, looking at  him like this, she was reminded of what the situation was.

She  was sealed off in a room at the back of a busy club with Kwon Jiyong  Sunbae-nim  - and she had just asked him - boldly, baldly, shamelessly -  to go down on her.

Embarrassed did not begin to cover what she  was starting to feel. Seeing his still features, stark in the little bit  of light coming in from a back window, she also felt a bit of intimidation that  reminded her of the first time she had ever seen him in real life,  years ago in the former YG Building's old training rooms.

She and  the other newly inducted kids (the majority of whom did not last out  that year) were in one of the practice rooms being harshly lectured by  their choreographer for lack of improvement in the two weeks or so  they'd been there. Everyone had been tired, sweaty and depressed. At a point the door opened and a head popped in. It was a manager they all  recognized as being attached to Big Bang activities so everyone perked  up and goggled at him. He told the choreographer that he was needed for a  few minutes in Practice Room A.

The teacher looked frustrated  for a second but then he seemed to have an idea. He asked the manager if  he could bring his kids with him for an audit. The manager said he  would ask and disappeared. Chaerin remembered how the room burst into  excited whispering when he left the room. It quietened down instantly  after another sharp reprimand from the still pissed off choreographer.

Moments  later the manager was back and showed a thumbs up. Chaerin's heart  thudded loudly in her chest all the way down the hallway, up the stairs  and down another another hallway till their instructor was knocking  politely on a door and ushering them into another practice room that was  bigger than the one they had been in and full of Hi -Tek and Crazy Dancers.

Like everyone in her group, her eyes had scanned the room searching for the members of YG's principal act.

There  was only one and he was cross legged on the floor leaned back against  the mirrors, eyes at half mast as he surveyed the room. His hair was  long and brown. He'd gathered it up in a loose chignon at the back of  his head. There were shadows under his eyes and slight stubble darkened  his jawline and shadowed his top lip. His loose tank top and shorts were  so wet that Chaerin couldn't be sure it was just sweat. He looked like  he'd dunked himself in a bucket of water, clothes and all.
