It had gotten to be pretty late, the group assumed, as the bubblegum pink clouds that had surrounded them faded to a dark purple, and cool winds began to run through their hair. That, and they were just plain tired.

They had found a room in the belly of the ship that had seven beds in it. Three bunk beds, and one regular full size bed on its own. Leaving one member without a bed. That was, until Hongjoong had found a bed he could claim as his in the captain's quarters in the next room over.

He decided to wait a couple of days before telling them about the mission they would have to partake in. He wanted them to enjoy they're newfound freedom for a while.

After telling everyone his goodnights, he absent-mindedly pulled out a pair of sweats from the never ending supply of clothes they had found and made his way to the captain's quarters.

Stripping from his shirt and trousers, he pulled on the sweats and crawled into what was now his bed. It hadn't looked very comfortable but as soon as his skin made contact with the soft fabric of the sheets, he realized he had never slept anywhere so cozy. The blankets wrapped around his body to keep him warm, but not too hot, and the pillow supported his head perfectly.

In the next room over, the rest of the boys were getting ready to go to sleep. They had all found pyjamas that suited them and had began to claim their beds. Wooyoung and San had taken the set of bunkbeds furthest from the door. Wooyoung said something about it being less accessible to danger. Yunho and Mingi shared the bunks closest to the door, and Jongho took the single bed for himself.

This left Seonghwa on the bunk underneath Yeosang, which he wouldn't have had a problem with if it hadn't meant that his head would be right next to Mingi's feet, and across from Wooyoung who, he had learned years ago, snored louder than all hell.

Sighing, Seonghwa pulled the covers over himself and tried to fall asleep before Wooyoung did so he wouldn't have to hear his snores, and before Yunho and Mingi came back from wherever they were so he wouldn't have to smell Mingi's feet.

A few hours into the night, everyone had successfully fallen asleep in their cozy beds.

Seonghwa, however, could not relate. He shot upright in bed from his sleep. A cold sweat running down his face and neck as his wide eyes tried to adjust to the darkness of the room.

He'd had a nightmare, Tall men in white stained with the red of his friends had chased him. He was alone. He had seen his friends bodies, or what was left of them. He had looked into Hongjoongs eyes as the life there dissipated. He was scared.

He stood from his bed, knowing he wouldn't go back to sleep anytime soon and tip-toed out of the room and next door to the captain's quarters.

Without bothering to knock, he crept into the room and tapped on Hongjoong's shoulder.

"Hongjoong?" he asked, his voice cracking a little as now dried tears stained his cheeks.

Hongjoong didn't respond verbally in his groggy state. All he did was find Seonghwa's hand and pull him into the bed.

After Seonghwa had found a comfortable position on the mattress, Hongjoong snaked his arm around his waist, pulling the older man closer to his body putting him at ease.

The beds they slept in may have been made of dreams and all things positive, but nothing beat the feeling of Hongjoong's arms around him. Protecting him, and keeping him warm. His bare, cool chest against his warm back.

"You're okay. You're safe here with me, okay?" Hongjoong spoke softly into Seonghwa's ear in a husky voice. Causing his ears and face go pink. His voice sent shivers down the man's spine.

"O-okay," Seonghwa stuttered out. He forgot about the fear he had felt previously and instead tried to focus on calming his heart down. Worried that it might wake his friend up fully.

Hongjoong's body was pressed against his so tightly that he could feel the way Seonghwa shivered when he spoke. He could also feel how quickly his heart was beating from laying next to him alone. Hongjoong grinned a little through his deliriousness at his friends reaction to his actions.

"Where's Seonghwa?" San asked, climbing down from his top bunk.

"In Hongjoong's bed. They're both still asleep. Wooyoung made breakfast. Yeosang helped out, too," Jongho said with a straight face, clapping the man on the shoulder as he walked past him.

"What do you mean 'in Hongjoong's bed' bro?" San jogged a little to catch up to Jongho as they made their way to the dining hall to eat the breakfast Wooyoung had prepared for them.

"Exactly what I said."
