From the time I've spent on the day with the team, I'll have to say they're all a bit too different for their friendship.

Jason's cool and fun but he knows when to be serious about a situation. He is really easy to befriend and is kind of like the epitome of perfection. He was like the main character from one of those rom coms in which the man is handsome and smart and kind. But he was so perfect, I couldn't really think of him as the friendly blonde of the team that got bullied for being a white American. (Since Nico is Italian, Piper is half Cherokee, Leo is Latino and Reyna is Puerto Rican)

Piper was more of a chaotic kind of fun, although she seemed to know her limits. She was just perfect the match for Jason's look, being nearly as perfect to look as her. She was kind of tomboyish and carefree, even saying stuff that most people wouldn't say to their bosses. And she had no qualms on flirting with her boyfriend in front everyone and laughing whenever he turned red.

Leo was somehow more chaotic than Piper. He was the funny best friend type from every sit com ever. He would go around flirting with waitress, who seemed more focused on Jason much to Leo's dismay. He would go around poking fun at everyone and the only thing that was stopping him from burning the café down were the occasional glares from Reyna Nico, which were somehow almost equally terrifying for short guy.

I didn't really seem to find Nico's that terrifying, if anything it was hot.

Reyna on the other hand, was downright terrifying. I was glad that I was not on the other end of receiving that glare. Reyna was not mean or anything (well she was sometimes to Leo, but that happened with concern of staying alive so I can't really blame her for that) but she held this air of authority that just made you either fear her or respect her. Or both, sometimes. I don't know, I like her but I am also lowkey scared of her.

And let's not even get started on Nico. How does someone keeps getting hotter by each second?

He doesn't actually talks that much, and when he does its usually a sarcastic remark or just him sassing around. He seems to have a habit of playing with the skull ring on his middle finger and I found him to get engaged in conversations with Reyna over emails she would receive or a pending case or how everyone asides from them are just a bunch of imbeciles. But despite his hard sarcastic exterior I could tell that he loved Jason and Leo and Piper even though he was mostly roasting them.

"Alright, we will meet each other at 6:30 in the morning tomorrow at the airport." Nico told us. "Jason, you get the tickets from Cecil. And when I say 6:30, I mean 6:30 Leo. I don't mind if you are early but if you are late, then I am just going to leave you and then you'll have to go to Puerto Rico all by yourself, by buying a ticket on your own instead of CHB providing it to you, alright?"

Gods he was hot when he was all commanding.

"Also, remember to pack your bags tonight. We don't know how long we'll be staying there so pack at least a week worth of clothes." Nico told us all. "And of course any other necessary item. Both for living and for the case. If you forget something, then that's not my problem. And get some nice sleep, I am not going to pretend I am an alarm clock and call all of you to see you are awake or not."

I had no doubts that this handsome detective was lying about that. He'd probably just leave us if we're not there on time.

The next day I booked an uber and had my suitcase stuffed into the trunk. Normally while traveling so early in the morning I'd normally wouldn't care about how I look, but today the people I waws travelling were strangers for me. Sure, they were friendly, but they were still strangers.

And one of them was my very hot boss, so don't blame me.

So I had decided to look a little bit good. I was wearing a simple white button up shirt and jeans, but that is a good combo and I know I look good in it. I brushed my hair, although since they're curly I know that there isn't much I can do about them.

I reached the airport at 6:26 am, which I suppose should be good enough. Now waking up early wasn't difficult for me really. My dad kind of had a habit to go to sleep early and wake up while the sun was still rising, and I kind of adapted that habit of his. So I was awake way before I even needed to be.

Its annoying sometimes, but I am used to it.

I met up with Nico at the airport, who was seated all alone with his air pods in his years, listening to some song. He was wearing his long hair in a small ponytail with his bangs falling gently on his angelic face, covering his gorgeous brown eyes from the view. He was wearing a black tee shirt (different from yesterday) and distressed black jeans with a pink Hello Kitty suitcase on his left that kind of ruined his all black aesthetic.

He was so focused on his phone that he didn't realise I have arrived until I sat down next to him. He looked at me and gave me a sleepy smile, "Ah, good morning Solace."

"Morin." I replied cheerfully.

"How are you so cheerful at six bloody thirty in the morning?" he asked me. "I wouldn't have even woken up if I wasn't the one leading the case."

I shrugged, "I have a habit of waking up early so it was nothing new for me. Where are the others?"

"Oh, well Jason knew that the flight will actually take off at 7 and he has probably told Piper about it so they both are most likely going to come later." He replied. "I only said six thirty because I knew Leo would be late, so by giving him a late time he'd arrive early. I should have probably told you about that, but I kind of forgot. Sorry about that."

I guessed that arriving too early wouldn't be that bad of a deal if I got to see Nico looking this handsome so I just told him, "It's fine, I don't mind it."

"Alright, well, you want some coffee? I definitely need some, or else I am just going to pass out." He told me.

I knew he wasn't asking me out, but my mind really REALLY wanted to believe that it was a date even though it was most likely just the need to consume caffeine to stay awake.

"I am more a tea person but sure." I replied, trying to remain as calm as I can stay while accompanying a hot man on the way to get some coffee.

Can my life get any more difficult than having to go for a coffee with my hot boss?

Somehow, yes. Absolutely.
