16 - the aftermath

Recap:
"Well i am not sorry for saying that, you did what you wanted , but its in the past. I will talk to him for you, I guess I might know why it happened."
"Cause he knows what i did, isnt it?" She asked.
"Yeah."

" hey vik, kanha hai?(hey vik, where are you?)
" at my place duh"
" I will come over in 15mins"
I cut the call without giving him a chance to speak.

Present:
"So when did you come back?"
" you know its a good thing to knock before entering someones's place"
"And its a good thing to lock the door lol."

"Common Naina, why are you here?"
"As if you don't know"
"No i really don't know"
"You can't just dump her cause she is my sister"
" I will dump her, cause she is your sister and that girl who hurt you bad. You have no clue how it felt when i got the news about all this."
"Why didn't you come then?"
"I had come back and was on my way to your place, when we got into an accident, my driver died on the spot and I was in comma. I got out 2 years back but was having problem with the basic life movements."
"....."
"Do you remember the date?"
"Yep it was on ..(the date)."
" It was your car! Your fucking car!"
"What? What are your saying?"
"Your car collided with mine! That night! And I lost my baby!!!!" ( I brke down crying)
"You were there in the other car?!"
He held me close and I broke down crying again.
I have been in therapy to recover from the trauma and loss, have been doing better but its not easy.

After calming my nerves, He told me the story.
His driver hd a heart attack while driving and the car  was out of his control and he collided with another car. He had not bothered with who the person was in the car because when he woke up and was finally functioning , his parent's told him that the other person was very much alive and fine, and the driver had tried its best to not do any damage to the other car .
