After the commercial, the view is at Moe's bar which, in hard times, has also been turned into a hotel. Going into the bar/hotel, we see Homer hanging his head gloomily on the bar counter. He's drunk as he doesn't want to remember this interaction with him and Moe.

Homer is crying.

Moe: Homer, I know this is hard. But you have to tell people why.

Homer: What would you know about relationships? You've been in three, and one thought you were gay.

Moe: Well yes... But you're my best friend ever since Lenny and Carl went to see a doctor about their alcoholism.

Homer: She changed her last name back to Bouvier. And the kids. Without asking.

Moe in mind: 'Jesus Christ'

Moe: You know what, your rent will be due later than usual okay? That's the least I could do.

Homer: Thanks, Moe... Thanks a LOT.
