A Day in the life of Kai

Kai's pov...

It's a buisy, morning as i'm watching Haruhi's Landlady's twin grandsons,

Usui, and Senri. Apparently i'm the only sitter they don't prank.

I was returning with them to the building, Usui on my back holding his Happy Meal toy, and Senri next to me holding his an mine and we were excitedly discussing our earlier Smash Brothers contest.

I loved how their identical chocolate brown eyes smile when they do. And do to my last birthday gift we're all wearing Green Ranger hoodies.

As I approach I'm surprised to see Host Club members on Haru's floor running.

"Hey Kai those guys are like us.", Usui says pointing to the twins.

"Yup their in a club at school with Haru that I sometimes visit.", I say as I spot my uncle approach the room.

"They haven't noticed us yet.", Senri says.

"I know, we should mess with them.", I say.

"We knew you were our favorite sitter for a reason.", they say together.

"Boys we need supersoakers and waterballoons.", I say setting Usui down as they salute goofily. And we run to the apartment and load water pistols an supersoakers and balloons. "Kay boys our targets know not of our existence plant your selves accordingly.", I say

Hikaru's pov...

We're waiting for Haruhi and Tamaki to come out when a red head enters which turns out to be Haruhi's dad. We sit and visit when the doorbell rings and Ranka answers to a young boy in a hoodie similar to Kai's Green Ranger hoodie but smaller.

"Ah so Kai's babysitting today, yes I will beware. ", Ranka says smiling as the boy leaves.

"Father you mean Kai's babysitting the twins. They'll eat her alive, they torture all there sitters", Haruhi says.

"Yea, the Landlady asked me to call Kai and see if she was open.", Ranka says as Haru jumps up.

"But they're cruel to sitters, when I sat they put gum in my hair.", she shouts.

"No my other cute daughter is in danger.", Tamaki reacts " If those monster's have their way Kai will have bad hair."

Kai sits there tied to a chair crying.

"No don't ruin my hair!" She cries, As pair of twin boys do evil laugh and start shaving bald spots in her hair.

"No don't ruin Kai's pretty hair!", I shout chasing said boys away.

"Hikaru i look hideous now.", she says crying.

"I'm sorry Kai I was late, but your mine and your always cute to me.", I say kissing her passionately.

End mind theater.

"We must find and protect Kai!", I shout running out as the others follow.

We come to a pair of identical brown-haired twins with Supersoakers.

"Usui, Senri where did you put my cousin.", Haru says making them grin.

"Not telling. ", they say at the same time smirking and aiming.

"I won't let you torture Kai like you have your other sitters.", Haru says.

At that they fire at her and she squeals from the cold and they run separate ways laughing. +

I chase the one going left as he runs and hides behind a corner," he's here captain you were right!", he shouts as I'm suddenly pelted from above by water balloons.

"Direct hit!", squeals the boy happily as he runs towards a corner and around and I'm soaked staring.

"Hikaru!, Haruhi just got a pelting of water bombs and the other twin vanished!", shouts Kaoru...

Time skip.. after loosing the twins me and Kaoru go to the Landlady's room and knock.

"Kai are you in there?", I shout. Then the door opens and in front of me in a pair of jean shorts, green ranger hoodie, and Hello Kitty Tank top stands Kai with her hair in pigtails.

"Kai, your ok.", Kaoru says as popcorn pops in the background And the boys are heard singing the Power Rangers theme song.

"Of course I'm ok, and your soaked.", she says smirking.

" I was afraid the kids your watching may live up to there rep and you'd be hurt or worse.", I say.

"Awe you were worried. Actually Usui and Senri are watching Power Rangers with me.", she says.

"Kai does the kick go like this?", one shouts.

"A little higher Senri.", she says.

"I always have a blast with the twins.", she says "they're a lot of fun, but get bugged cause most people are to lazy to learn their names, and don't take the time to tell them apart. This is actually my Twentieth time watching them."

"Kai's the best babysitter, she plays and teaches us games and skateboarding, helps us play pranks, watches cartoons, and she came over on our birthday to give us a present.", says a twin suddenly appearing hugging her.

"Ya we'd never prank her.", says the other appearing.

"Ah Kai, I hope the twins were good.", comes up Haru's Landlady.

"Awe they were great, we had a blast.", she says smiling as the lady hands Kai some cash.

" You are the best Kai, your the only sitter my grandsons get excited about.", the lady says.

As we walk with her towards Haru's and Haru and Tamaki glomp her.

"Good to see you guys too wassup.", she says looking over us.

"Haru-chan is going to the store and gonna make us something yummy.", Honey says

"I see.", she says.

"I'm so glad your ok after watching the Landlady's monsters.", Haruhi says.

"Eh, we always have fun..", she says happily.

"Hikaru do you have extra clothes i don't want you getting sick.", she says turning to me at which I run in and out changed into dry clothes.

Kai's pov...

We watch as Haru stomps off to the store alone, but end up stalking her by my uncle's choice. At one point to hide as Kaoru's pulled one way i pull Hikaru in the photo machine so we can hide. As we hear Haru and Tamaki pass and discuss stew, me and Hikaru blush at the proximity.

"I should find Kaoru.", he says peeking out a moment before closing it again. "Shes out there. "

"Then we may as well make the best of it.", I say putting money in and scooting closer to the host. He then puts his arms around me and we pose for the first shot, we pose for a few more pictures, then our strip comes out and I hand it to him as we exit which he takes blushing and i kind of wish he kissed me back in there.

"Thank you Kai.", he says smiling before we find the others and return to Haruhi's.

Hikaru's pov...

That night i thought about the photo booth as i put my photo strip on my memory board.

"I wanted to kiss her Kaoru.", I say looking at the picture.

"There's gonna be other chances.", my brother says.
