"hey Jake." I say as he enters the house. He doesn't say anything he just hugs me. "What am I gonna do? He is still having nightmares and he sobs when I have to take a shower. How am I supposed to leave him for 4 hours?" I say crying into Jay's chest.

"I don't know hun. Talk to him let him know he's safe and you have to go to work." He suggests.

"Mom?" Elijah calls from his room where we were napping with rose. "Yeah bud?" I ask as he stands by me and Jay.

"Why are you in your work clothes?" He asks with panic in his eyes. "Eli my boss called and said if I didn't go into work id be fired. I need this job so I can support you and your sister." I say as he starts crying.

"B..but what about me? Can I go with you?" He asks tearing up. "I'm sorry bud you can't. I need you to stay and watch rose and Jay for me." I say as Jay laughs a little and Elijah giggles through his tears.

"Here let's make a deal. If you let your mom go to work she will try to take off early and we will call her with every single break she has. And we will visit her at lunchtime. Deal?" Jay asks. "I'm ok with that." I say then we turn to Elijah. "Okaaaay. But I get two scoops of ice cream tonight." Elijah says. "Deal." Me and Jay says at the same time.

Elijah's pov

After mom left I went back to sleep after asking uncle Jay to wake me up when we could visit mom.

Eli's dream

"Please stop it or I'll tell my dad!" I cry out as she hits me again. "Do you seriously think he'll care?! He doesn't love you that's why he lets you stay with me. He couldn't care less about you." Stacy says laughing.

"Besides me and your dad are going to get married then I'll be your mommy." She says hitting me.

"No I already have a mom." I say as more years stream down my face. I run out to look for dad. I run into the dance room. "Elijah what's up bud?" Dad asks as he walks up to me. "Stacy hits me and says you are going to marry her." I say trying to hug him but he moves away.

I fall down and he starts laughing at me then Stacy comes in with rose and kisses dad.

"M...mom." rose says while looking at Stacy.

"THAT'S NOT MOM! That's not mom." I yell as everything fades.

No more dream😉

"Elijah buddy wake up your ok." I wake up from that horrible nightmare with Jay shaking me.

"I want mom. I need mommy." I say sobbing.

Y/n's pov

"Thank you have a nice day!" I say as the costumer leaves.

"Y/n!" Jay yells as he races through the door with Elijah and rose. "What happened I say as I run to Elijah who is crying hysterically. "I had another nightmare mom." Elijah says sobbing into my shoulder.

"What is going on out here?!" Catherine asks as she storms into the checkout center. "I'm sorry my son has a nightmare again. They have just been getting worse and worse recently." I say apologizing for the disturbance. Even though I'm not actually sorry.

"Can I please take the rest of the day off, for my son? I'll work extra hours when everything's settled." I basically beg. "Yeah you can have the rest of the day off. Oh and while you're at it take every day off cause you are fucking fired!" She yells which causes Elijah to shake a bit. "Are you serious?! I've worked my ass off, I've covered for you and everyone else! I've stayed all night just so you can go fuck off and get drunk!" I say pissed.
