Wiping her brow Mina let out a satisfied sigh. Taking the last box downstairs to dispose of later. She's finally fully moved in with her new family. Though she is happy to not live in foster care anymore, she had to leave all her friends behind and move across the state.
"Mina, come to the kitchen, please. We need to discuss a few things."
"Okay, Mrs. Davery!" Mina yelled back, walking towards the kitchen. "What do we need to talk about?"
Mrs. Davery took a sip of her tea before answering, "Well dear, we have enrolled you into school and you start tomorrow," pausing to see her reaction, Mrs. Davery continued, "You also have to join either a sports team or a club after school. Good news though! You don't have to worry about getting a job like you used to. That's what we're here for so just focus on making friends and having fun. But don't let your grades slip."
Mina nodded along before responding, "Yes, ma'am. Thank you both for this opportunity."
"No problem, We're happy to have you here. Also, your school uniform will be in your room tomorrow morning," Mrs. Davery said.
"Okay! Thank you," Mina said before turning around to head back to her room.
Mrs. Davery turned to her husband and said, "I hope she likes it here. What do you think, Jim?"
"I think we will find out tomorrow after her first day of school. Now, it's getting late, why don't we head to bed, hm?"
Malenda yawned and started heading towards their room to get ready for bed. Though before she went to sleep, she stopped by Mina's room. Malenda knocked softly on the door, awaiting a response. Getting none she slowly opened the door just enough to peek her head in, the sight she saw put a small smile on her face.
Laying there with her laptop still open playing My Hero Academia was Mina. Not even fully covered by her blanket. Mrs. Davery opened the door enough to walk in, closed her computer, and pulled the blanket up to cover her. Malenda, being satisfied, exited the room, saying a quick good night.
