The voices of the Anti-Void were as loud as ever but Error ignored them as he worked on patching up his scarf. It was a tattered mess. Believe it or not, he was in a good mood. Today was one of his better days. Ink wasn't creating, the voices weren't screaming, Nightmare wasn't pestering him with a job. Yeah. Error liked today. Until... "Error! we need to talk!" Oh stars. Why him? ("no. we really don't.") "n-o. w-e rea-lly d-on-t." Error replied, pointedly continuing on his scarf as not to look upon the Sans that burst into his home. "yeah we do. error, this petty grudge can't go on forever. dream nearly got hurt last time." Error scoffed and looked at Ink. ("dream and nightmare's rivalry has nothing to do with ours. it does not concern me.") "d-rea-m an-d ni-ght-mar-e-s riv-alry h-as not-hin-g to d-o wi-th ou-rs. it do-es no-t con-cern me." With that, Error turned back to his scarf. ("leave. you know the way out.") "le-ave. y-you kn-ow th-e wa-y o-ut." Ink huffed and crossed his arms. "i'm trying to make things work here, error! why do you always have to be so stubborn!" Error refused to respond.

It had always been like this between the two. Much like Nightmare and Dream, Error had been wronged and held that grudge tight to himself. He refused to forgive Ink for what he'd done to him. Error had loved Ink and he'd betrayed his trust, left him alone. Worse, when they saw each other again years later, Ink never apologized. He hadn't even known what he did wrong! And he still hasn't apologized. As far as Error was concerned, he didn't have a brother. He'd learned at a young age that it was everyone for himself. His stupid group that tried to keep him from keeping the balance didn't help either. Seriously, did the guy WANT his precious Multiverse to overcrowd and self destruct? Because Error certainly didn't want to die. That was the ONLY reason he kept the damned balance. Purely selfish reasons. Error heard a snap as his sewing needle broke in half. He'd let his anger get the better of him again. Ink had that sort of affect on him. Ever since they were kids. With a sigh, Error picked up the broken pieces and threw them through some portal or another and replacing them with a new set.

Ink sighed heavily as he returned to his Doodle Sphere. He looked around at all the papers around him, at all the AUs that he'd kept track of and inventoried. He could remember when he held Error for the first time as a baby. He'd been young himself, maybe five, but he'd promised himself that he'd always look out for his baby brother. The thing about promises though... they were made to be broken. How many times had he double crossed Error since then? How many times had Error double crossed Ink? Hell, he was doing it right now! One of Ink's inventoried Aus went up in smoke. He hadn't even created today!? With a growl, Ink summoned Broomie and went back to the Anti-Void. "error!" He was still sitting in the same spot, fixing his scarf, but Ink didn't care. ("what now, ink?") "w-ha-t no-w, in-k?" He sounded annoyed. "have you sunk so low as to destroy an innocent au when i haven't created any to replace it?!" Error looked at Ink in genuine confusion. ("um, what?") "u-m, wh-at?"
"don't play dumb with me! you are the only one with the power to destroy code!" Error growled, enraged at the accusation and summoned an Error Blaster. (get the fuck out!!!") "g-e-e-t th-e f-u-u-u-ck o-ut!!!" Ink had no choice but to retreat. Error panted as he looked down at his soul in confusion. He felt it too. An au had collapsed on its own. ("what is going on..?") "w-hat is go-ing o-n..?"
