If anyone had told Adelyn Rossini that she would be sitting in the car with Grayson we-haven't-been-friends-with-since-eighth-grade-and-we-sort-of-hate-each-other Burns a month ago, she would have laughed her ass off right there and then.

But now? She's doing exactly that.

When her dad dies in a car crash and her sister goes off the rails and runs away, Adelyn wants nothing but to leave her stupid little town of Eastbrook, Maine, (population 423, by the way) and get away from everything.

But until graduation she has no way out, because she had promised her dad that she wouldn't let him down after he gave up so much to send her to the only private school within a fifty mile radius.

And when she sees a flyer on the school bulletin board that says "Road Trip Partner Needed", she doesn't know why she grabs a copy and calls the number.

(She's desperate.)

But most of all, she has absolutely no frickin' idea why she agreed to the deal after finding out her ex best friend, who dropped her for girls and partying during the summer going into high school, was the one who put up that flyer.

Grayson Burns. Arrogant, hot (unfortunately), and a jock, he's the polar opposite of Adelyn.

But she did agree, and now she's stuck in a small car with a guy who she hasn't talked to in almost four years for three weeks as they take a road trip out to Lake Chelan, in Washington.

7892 miles. Over 150 hours (just driving). Also known as 9000 minutes. God knows how many seconds.

What ever could go wrong?
