JONATHAN, SCARLETT AND NANCY SAT IN SILENCE ON THE BYERS COUCH. They were deep in thought, thinking about how they could finally kill the demogorgon, the creature who had been tormenting them and Hawkins for the past month.

They had agreed back at the school that they would do anything in their power to kill the demogorgon, making sure it wouldn't be able to hurt the kids or Joyce and Hop.

Joyce and Hopper had followed the plan throughly, but that plan included them walking straight into the Upside Down like bait. They wouldn't let that happen, there had been enough death and distress in Hawkins for a long time. Never again.

Before their arrival at the Byers residence, the three had snuck back into the station, stealing back their weapons and traps from the grasps of the officers, determined to finally fight back against the creature slowly sucking the life out of Will. The creature who killed Barb.

"If we want to contact this thing, we have to screw all the lights back in." Jonathan broke the silence, nodding up to the lights and causing the two girls to follow his gaze. The group nodded in a mutual agreement and got up, getting to work. Nancy began in the living room, Jonathan in the dining room and Scarlett in the hallway.

Once they finished they moved onto the traps and weaponry. Beginning with the large bear traps, they nailed them into the hallway to set them up, nodding in approval after completion. Sometime during this preparation, they had called Ben, considering he had been with them when they saw the demogorgon, they could always use an extra hand. Ben had arrived with multiple bats and knives. Jonathan and Ben had taken it upon themselves to hammer nails into the bats, creating an even more lethal weapon.

Nancy and Scarlett took they ammo boxes from the crates, loading their guns up with the maximum amount of ammo. They knew they would need it.

They split into pairs to finally open and prep the bear traps, Scarlett and Ben cautiously laying the lever on the pan and stepping away from the trap. Nancy and Jonathan had done the same, and with that the four were done. But there was one thing they needed to do to attract the beast. Nodding to each other, they took the knives from Ben's bag, standing in a huddle with the sharp metal raised just above their open palms.

"Remember.." Jonathan began to the group, rehearsing their plan they had came up with, the quickest and safest way to do this.

"Straight into Will's room. And-" Scarlett said confidently.

"Don't step on the trap." Jonathan interrupted, finishing the sentence he knew would come out of her mouth.

"Wait for the yo-yo to move." Nancy added on, with a long breath as she glanced at the yo-yo behind them.
