He held her hand tighter as he checked his watch a third time. She glanced at him, her eyes shining due to the sunset biome they chose.
"How long do we have left?"
"Not enough," he said.
She stopped in the middle of their walk, pulled up the menu screen, and started editing the terrain. She flattened out the small Sicilian buildings so that the endless fields were visible and changed the cobblestone to smooth asphalt. Lastly, set the sun enough that the sky was indigo.
She laid on the asphalt and motioned him to do the same.
"Did you change the texture of the ground?"
She got closer to his chest as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Does really matter?" she said,
He opted not to reply and traced his eyes on a shooting star passing above him.
"Where are you now?" he said
"Medusa 1," a chuckle escaped his lips as he heard what she said,
"God, that's not even in the local system,"
"Can we please not talk about that?" she said softly
"Sure," he said and turned himself to her, "Sure,"
They stayed silent for a couple of moments. She took the chance to ask the system for the time. They had less than 5 minutes remaining. She closed the tab and took a deep breath while he was still holding her. She smiled.
"Is this the same cologne as the one you used in college?"
"Yes,"
She broke off a bit from the embrace and looked him in the eyes. "That's a bit cheesy, don't you think?"
He buried his nose into her hair locks. "You're the one to say. Isn't this the same one as after we moved in together?"
"Well, that's not in college,"
"True," he said, "That one year gap between the two really does make a world of difference,"
He fell silent again before talking in a much softer tone.
"Can't we buy more time?"
She opened the menu and scrolled to the shop.
"Do you have 100.000 more credits?"
He didn't reply. She put a hand on his cheek. "Look, we already spent five days' worth of time here. I don't have any more credits," she said
"When will I see you again?"
She paused, "I don't know," she said.
The countdown had already started. The place was deconstructing before them. They looked into their eyes. "I love you," "I love you."

The knockback was strong when he came out. He took off the goggles and wiped his eyes. He didn't even realize he was crying.
"Woah, dad, how sad of a movie was it?"
He turned to see him standing in the door way,
"Very sad," he said. "Is it dinner time already?"
"Yeah," his son said, "Mom actually cooked this time,"
He got out of the bed and stretched. "Let's get going then,"
