Chapter 6❤❄

Arabella POV (Chapter 6-10)

I groan silently as my Biology teacher talks about the metamorphosis of cockroaches. I couldn't wait for the bell to leave the class.

Someone behind me taps my back, I turn around to see who it was. It was Olamide. "You look so beautiful today, the way you packed your hair is really nice."

"Thank you" I offer him a smile and turn my head to face the teacher, not without noticing the stares i was getting from Denzel who was sitting three chairs besides me, at my right.

I ignore his stare and took a glance at my wristwatch, it was few minutes to 12 which signifies this class would be over and then i get to leave this class and also have lunch.

The bell goes off, and everybody leaves the class, I grab my bag, also preparing to head out immediately, but i was stopped by Denzel "Please, could you borrow me your Biology notebook, i wasn't really taking notes, I literally zoned out of the class." He said

"Well, I also didn't take notes. I wasn't listening either." I tell him in which he offers a little chuckle "Yeah, I kinda noticed, you were just staring at the teacher, your body was in the class but your mind was somewhere else."

"Yeah, you would have noticed because you were staring at me through the entire class." I said, staring at him but he avoided my eyes

"Shit. Busted!" He laughed nervously, "I would see you later, bye!" He said and with that, he was out of the class

I didn't see Olamide in the class, which means he must have gone to the cafeteria and kept a seat for me, like he does, so i head to the cafeteria.

I saw him sitting down there, he saved a seat for me, "Hey babe" he said as i sat down. I took out my lunch box which was packaged by my dad. He is literally the best dad in the world and also the best cook, well, my mom was though, but she isn't any more.
My mom died of leukemia, no matter how many times i try to wipe off the memories of her, I just can't.

I remember her face getting pale, she got more lean as the days goes by. My dad and i thought it was just an ordinary sickness, a fever, Malaria and all that, whenever she get sick, she hardly eats and she has a weight loss, but as soon as she is treated from the illness, she regains her lost weight, but we never knew it would take her away from us, forever.

I cried a lot when i heard that she died. My dad has always tried to keep himself whenever i mentioned my Mom.
I know he wants to stay strong for me, he doesn't want me to see him as a weak dad, but he is also a human being, a father, a husband who lost his wife and was left with his only daughter to fend and take care of.

I just wished i could bring my mom back, those memes that would ask you to choose a door that would make you go back in past and un-do some things and then another door that offers you money, at this point, i wished that was true, but i know it isn't. My mom is gone. She has been dead for five years, and she is never coming back to us.
