CONTEXT : gingerbrave had set up a mission for espresso and Madeleine to go on to scout the area to look and defeat enemies.

Ugh. Out of all the cookies he could have gone with it had to be Madeleine. Espresso thought to himself extremely irritated from this. There were other cookies going on other missions he couldn't stop Wondering why him and Madeleine had to go together. It was just the two of them. Just the both of them alone together. To espresso this was torture, or at least thats what he convinced himself to think. He wanted to question Gingerbrave because he was the one to put the teams together, but as soon as they were put together they had to actually go on the mission.

There the two were, walking alone in the forest both on the look out for cake monsters. Espresso getting irritated at Madeleine just for being there the whole time while Madeleine was babbling on and on about all of his stories and pointing out random things along the way.
Both of them kept a good lookout for monsters. Espresso soon got distracted though, he was looking at Madeleine. For someone who hated the knight sure does think about him alot. Something just seemed to bug him about to other. He felt as if he should hate him but also felt as if everytime he was around it made him happier.

ESPRESSO LOOK OUT! Madeleine yelled as cake hounds ran out of the bushes at espresso. Madeleine then attacked them with his sword soon defeating them.
Essy are you ok? The knight said grabbing espresso's hands making sure he's alright. espresso could feel his face heat up at the touch.
Y-yeah..the mage told the other.
Madeleine let go of espresso's hands.
Come it's getting late let's put up a tent before it get night. Madeleine stated.

The two then started to unpack and put together the tent that gingerbrave gave them. once they put it up they both climbed inside. Espresso knew he probably would have to sleep tonight only because 1. Madeleine wound make him. 2. He had no coffee with him to help him stay awake. So there the two were slowly drifting to sleep, espresso fell asleep sooner.

                          Time skip~

The whole night was pretty cold and windy. Espresso found himself awake. He didn't know what he awoke from but he was awake. The only difference from when he went to sleep was that fact that he found himself cuddled up to Madeleine. His face in Madeleine's chest. One of there hands together, fingers intertwined. The other hand on espresso's waste, holding him close. All this made espresso's face heat up immediately. He felt if he wanted to stay like this but he had always taught himself to hate Madeleine so he tried to pull away but soon failed. Mhm noooo stay, espresso could hear the other boy say above him holding him closer. This didn't help espresso any it only made his made his face more red now knowing that Madeleine knew the two were cuddling. Espresso then tried to escape Madeleine's grasp but failed. Stop moving you look to cute before said Madeleine also slowly opening is eyes to look at the mage. Let's stay like. this he said to the shorter (espresso). Espresso really didn't have a choice. So he gave in.
Madeleine hugged him closer, now rubbing circles into the others palm.
I love you espresso.
Espresso didn't know what to say. He felt the blush get even more red on his face.
I love you to... Madeleine.
