Scarlet was smaller than Clay had expected—smaller than Kestrel—but Clay knew that they shouldn't underestimate the SkyWing Queen. She'd held on to her power for thirty years. She was one of the longest-lived and deadliest queens in Pyrrhia. Not to mention one of the worst possible enemies to get her claws on the Dragonets Of Destiny since she was allied with Burn, who hated the Dragonet Prophecy and had destroyed the SkyWings eggs six years ago or at least Burn thought that she did since Aria and Ember are still alive.
Queen Scarlet studied Caribbean. Then Queen Scarlet studied Clay. Then Queen Scarlet studied Starflight. Then Queen Starflight studied Glaze. Then Queen Scarlet looked at Aria and Ember.
"Now, you two, SkyWings, made me curious. We're part of the same tribe. So tell me, SkyWings, how do you not know who I am? I know every SkyWing in my kingdom and I don't remember seeing you two in my army."
"Didn't we just say that we were passing through?!" Tsunami and Bubble asked.
"I like to hear the SkyWings speak," Scarlet said.
"Just like Tsunami and Bubble said, we were just passing through," Aria and Ember said.
"If you passing through, then why are two with two SeaWings, a MudWing, an IceWing, a NightWing, and a SeaWing/SkyWing hybrid?"
"We've been stuck together in prison," Aria and Ember said.
"And we've been underground awhile...and..." Starflight, Glaze, and Caribbean shot a glare at him, which meant to keep quiet before he gives too much away.
He glanced up at the mountains looming overhead and realized that they were outlined with a golden glow. The three suns were coming up. They need to rescue their friends and fast, before Kestrel took out her anger on the dragonets she could find.
"I mean, we're just passing through," Clay said. "But it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Actually, it's been an honor to meet you, Your Majesty," Aria said.
"Yes, it's been a honor to meet you but we have to go," Tsunami said.
"Already?" Scarlet asked.
"Yes, we have to go now," Aria said.
"But I hate being left in the middle of a conversation," Scarlet said.
"We don't want to do that either but we have to rescue our friends," Bubble and Ember said.
"All right, I'll let you go if you can answer two questions," Scarlet said.
"What?!" Caribbean asked.
"Have you read the 'Missing Princesses' scroll?" Scarlet asked.
"Of course. It's one of our favorite scrolls," Tsunami and Aria answered.
"In the scroll, there are two endings. One where the SkyWing princesses are alive and the other where the SkyWing princesses are dead. Do you think that the SkyWing princesses are alive or dead?" Scarlet asked.
"The SkyWing princess are alive; they were save from death by an IceWing and a NightWing," Tsunami and Aria said.
"Wonderful, I'll let you go as I promise," Scarlet said. "Just be careful, my mother, Ex-Queen Saffron, is ruthless like Burn. I invite you all and your friends to my palace."
"Okay, we will," Tsunami said.
"Wait, before you go, I will let you pick up a treasure to show my guards that you all are invited, and you can keep it or give it to someone else," Scarlet said.
Then Starflight picked up the gold necklace with a sapphire etched into the pendant and put in on Tsunami.
Then Tsunami picked up the silver necklace with a hematite etched into the pendant and put it on Starflight.
