From Clark's Point of View

I lean into Zachary's back, yawning. I find him comforting.

He has been struggling with the stuff with Jackson lately.

I don't blame him though. It would be stupid for me to blame him. It's not like he was excited or desiring another man.

I don't know how to not be nervous. I know he's worked up and worried about when we are going to have sex.

I slowly kiss the back of his neck, "hey Zach."

He presses himself back into me, "yeah Clark?"

I softly suck on the back of his neck.

He moans very softly, "Clark, what are you doing?"

I kiss his neck again, "I am sucking on my husband's neck because I can."

He rolls over and looks up at me, "don't you have to go to work?"

I pull him closer and kiss his neck, "yes."

He gets up, pouting slightly, "I will pick you clothes."

The is a very soft whine in his voice. I get off the bed and move up behind him. I kiss the top of his head.

He sighs, "I am sorry for whining."

I get dressed and kiss his cheek, "come by for lunch again. You can drive the sports car."

He looks at me, "should I bring lunch this time?"

I smile at him, "yes."

He kisses me slowly, "okay."

I brush his hair back slowly, "you are so handsome."

He blushes a little, "you're handsome Clark."

I go to work and sit through my first meeting of the day. I do some paperwork that needs done but I find myself staring at the picture of me and Zachary.

He is a gorgeous man. I want to touch him everywhere. I want to fuck him.

I snap out of my thoughts when there is a knock on my office door.

I clear my throat, giving a soft shake of the head, "come in."

Zachary steps in with a black carry out bag, "Steff sent me up. She said you didn't have anything that she was aware of. I can go though, if now is a bad time."

I stand and welcome him in, "I don't care if I do have something planned. You are welcome to come by at any time you want."

He pulls shut the door. I quickly clear my desk for us.

A small thought invades my mind, a thought that I could just bend him over this desk.

He slowly moves into the chair he sat in last time.

I smile at him, "if you are going to come to have lunch with me often, I will get you a comfortable chair. Maybe I can make space and put in a little lunch table for us."

I make my way over and shut the blinds to the other part of the building and sit down in my chair.

He pulls out take out containers, "I got us pasta."

We eat together and he slips me a napkin.

I wipe my mouth and lean back into my chair, "thank you handsome. This was perfect."

He gathers the trash, "I like pasta."

He is by the door to leave but I pull him close. I kiss him slowly. His hand slips up into my hair as he kisses back.

I move him over to my desk and lift him, so he's perched on the edge. I kiss him more, making it clear that I want him right here right now.

There's a knock on the door and I pull away.

I straighten my tie, "come in."

Steff peaks her head in, "I know you said not to interrupt when you are with Zachary, but it is time for your next meeting. Also, Ella called and requested a lunch visit with you tomorrow."

I nod, "yes schedule lunch with Ella for tomorrow."

Zachary gives me a look. I can tell he's upset with that decision. He gets up and leaves the office without saying another word to me.

I sigh and text him, "Zachary... I don't have any kind of romantic feelings for Ella. Yes, we were married but that is where those feelings ended. Please don't be mad that I am having lunch with an old friend."

He doesn't answer me.

I stop on the way home and get him flowers.

I come inside, sighing very softly, "Zachary, I am home."

There is no answer. I look around for him, but he isn't home.

I call him.

He answers on the third ring, "hello Mr. Adler."

I swallow softly, "Zachary, are you really that mad at me?"

He is being catty, "I don't know what you mean, Mr. Adler."

I don't let myself get angry, "are you coming home tonight?"

He doesn't answer right away but after a few long seconds, a small, 'yes' comes from him.

I exhale, "now or later?"

He sighs, "I will come home now Clark."

I whisper, "okay."

He ends the call. I make us dinner. Zachary comes in, hanging the keys on the hook by the door.

He doesn't look at me, "I think I am going to go to bed."

I look at the food I've made, "I made dinner."

He sits at the table and we eat together.

I look at him, "I meant what I said about Ella. There is nothing there."

He tenses just a little, "listen I don't care if you go anymore."

I run my fingers the back of his hand, "you do care."

He looks at me, "I do but you say it's just a friendship and I trust you."

I stand and gather the dishes, "I'm your husband. I wouldn't let anyone, part of my past or not, get in the way of that."

He moves up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. He exhales slowly, leaning his face into my back.

I run my fingertips over his arms, "I think you need a hobby to keep yourself busy while I am gone all day."

He yawns against my shoulder, "maybe I could remodel the house. I don't like the red."

I laugh, "okay. I think that would be nice."

We make our way to bed. He apologizes for running off. And then we end up making out for a while. But I am too tired to take it much farther than that.
