From Zachary's Point of View
He leans down and kisses along my bare back.
I stir a little, "Clark..."
He moves over me, "I have to go to work."
I press my ass up a little, "do you have to go?"
He presses on the bed on either side of me, "yes Zachary. It's the first week back home. I really do have to go."
I sigh, "okay Clark."
He rolls me gently, "I want to kiss you."
I wrap my arms around his neck sleepily, "please."
He kisses me slowly. I run my fingers down his back.
My brain flashes back to our honeymoon. He never fucked me, but we did some dry humping and I gave him a few blow jobs.
Maybe he's not a top and he just doesn't have to experience to know yet.
He brings me back with another kiss.
I slip off the bed and pick him clothes. He watches me.
I look up at him, "I'm sorry. I hope you don't mind that I'm picking your clothes."
He smiles at me, "I don't mind at all."
He dresses into the clothes I pick and I tie his tie for him.
He looks down at me, "I never learned how to do that."
I kiss his cheek, "well you have me for a reason."
He checks his watch, "I'm going to have to skip breakfast."
I follow him to the door and he gives me a look.
I kiss him softly, "have a good day."
He hands me the keys to his sports car, "would you like to come see me at lunch?"
I look at the keys, "how will you get to work?"
He pulls a second set of keys from a hook, "I'll take the SUV."
I look at him, "would you like me to come see you?"
He smiles, "yes. Come by at 11. Just tell Steff you're there to see me and she'll show you to my office. You know where it is yeah?"
I kiss his jaw, "yes. Should I bring lunch?"
He ruffles my hair, "no I'll order something in."
I nod, "okay Clark."
And then I have the house to myself. I feel awkward here and I kind of just want to go back to my parents' house right now. I know that'd probably hurt Clark's feelings too.
I look at the time. I could watch a movie or something. I decide to look around. I don't want him to think I'm nosey though so if the door is shut I don't open it.
Why is the house all this awful color? I'll need to remodel if Clark doesn't mind.
I run my finger over my wedding ring. It's become a habit of mine.
I should get a job or something. Clark probably wouldn't like that though.
I end up on the couch. My eyes skim the living room. He must have spent a lot of time here. It looks like the most lived in space.
I lay down and stretch out, this is a long couch. He could sleep here comfortably.
I get out my phone and scroll through shirtless men on Instagram. I find myself feeling disgusted with myself.
Clark asked me not to do that and I didn't even notice I was biting my lip.
I delete the Instagram app. I have a husband. I don't need these men on Instagram.
I start to clean the living room to redirect my attention.
I check the time often. I don't want to be late.
Once it's about 10:30 I dress in something casual and comfortable.
I head down to Clark's workplace and go inside.
An older brunette that is beginning to have traces of silver greets me, "hello how may I help you?"
I smile softly, "uhhh I'm here to see Clark."
She smiles brightly, "Zachary?"
I nod, "yes ma'am."
She motions to an elevator, "I'll show you up sir. Clark told me so much about you."
I follow her a little embarrassed. Clark talks about me, yet I've never talked about Clark with my friends.
Am I as committed as he is?
I push away the thought as she knocks on Clark's door. I know it's his because there's a gold-colored sign on it that says, 'Mr. Clark Adler's Office'.
Clark opens the door and looks at me, "hello Zachary. Thank you, Steff, for showing him up. Lunch should be here anytime now if you wouldn't mind bringing it up."
She smiles, "oh it's not a problem at all."
I find myself scanning her hands for a ring which is stupid. Clark is gay.
She hurries off.
Clark opens the door a little wider, "come in."
I step in and he shuts the door. His office looks out on the city. It's plain. Just the essentials it appears.
I move over to his desk and notice a small picture frame.
I look at him and then at the picture frame, "may I?"
He nods and I turn it to see the picture of us kissing at the altar.
I look at him, "how'd you get this? The photographer isn't supposed to be done with them yet."
He smiles, "I just asked for it."
I blush a little, "are you sure you want this on your desk?"
He nods, "yes."
I slowly move towards him, "you know you're quite the interesting man."
I slip my hand up his chest and grab his tie to pull him down.
There's a knock on the door and he hurries over. He smiles and thanks Steff as he takes our lunch.
He shuts the door and locks it this time. He closes the blinds that look out into the building. He clears the one side of the desk and motions for me to sit.
I obey his gesture and relax into the comfy arm chair.
He brings out sandwiches and sits too, "there's this cute place close by. They do exceptional sandwiches. I don't usually order. Steff does that for me, but I did today. This is a shrimp BLT."
I watch him, "Clark."
He looks into my eyes, "yes?"
I smile a little, "you're gorgeous."
He slides one of the sandwiches across the table, "let's eat."
I eat my sandwich. It's really good.
He slips a napkin across the desk. I wipe around my mouth and gather our trash.
He leans back in his chair a little, "thank you for coming."
I discard the trash and move around the desk to him.
He looks at me, "you know you always have this desire in your eyes. Sometimes I worry you're going to just take what you want wherever we are."
I kiss him slowly, gently gripping his tie.
He runs his fingers up my back, letting me.
I look down at him, "I want you."
He smiles a little, "is that so?"
I nod a little and he stands.
His eyes travel down from mine down to my lips, "always so needy. Grabbing my tie and kissing me like that."
I hug his waist, "I'm sorry for the distraction, I'm sure you need to work."
He kisses the top of my head, "it wasn't a problem. Are you going?"
I look up at him, "I think so."
He smiles at me, "let me show you out."
He leads me to the elevator and lets his hand rest at the base of my back.
Once we're in the lobby, he leans down and kisses me slowly, "I'll be home around six."
I rub his cheek softly, "okay."
I turn to go. He smacks my ass.
I gasp softly, "Clark."
He chuckles, "be safe."
I blush. I can't believe he just did that.
I hurry out to the car and think about it. I really liked that.
He did that on purpose to make me think about him until he gets home.
I drive home and then I call Clark.
He answers on the first ring, "yes Zachary?"
I blush a little, "can I have a friend over?"
He laughs, "yes Zach. You can have friends over. It's your house too. I have to go handsome I'm in a meeting."
I blush more, "okay."
He ends the call. That's embarrassing. I call him and he's surrounded by his work peers and I'm sounding like a child.
I invite my best friend over. He takes 2 hours to show up.
He stares at the car on the way in. He's been around me. I'm rich but we didn't have whatever that sports car is. I know it's red but I don't know cars.
He motions outside, "what is he? A fucking billionaire?"
I shrug, "I don't know about his finances."
He looks at it again, "gosh I wish a rich old man would marry me."
I push him softly, "it's not like that."
He looks around, "when is he going to be back?"
I push a stray strand of hair back away from my face, "around 6."
He grabs my hand, "well let's go have some fun."
It's that tone he uses when he's horny.
I pull my hand away, "Jackson, you know I don't like you like that, and I'm married. That's not going to happen between us."
He pushes me onto the couch, "well it's just because mommy and daddy made you. You don't actually like that creep, do you?"
The door opens and Jackson stiffens.I'm crying now and Clark comes into the living room.He drops his keys, "what are you doing?"Jackson moves away from me, "nothing."I wipe my eyes and Clark's protective nature kicks in, "I think it'd be best if you left."Jackson huffs, "yeah whatever."He leaves and Clark locks the door.He comes over to me, "can I touch you?"I nod.He wraps his arms around me, "he was going to hurt you, wasn't he?"I nod, crying more.He rocks me, "I just wanted to surprise you but I'm glad I came home when I did."I move so my face is in his chest, "I'm sorry."He rubs my back, "that's okay. You're allowed to cry. Unless you mean you're sorry he tried to assault you in which case, that's not your fault."I calm down over the next half an hour. I'm not just upset because he was going to hurt me, I'm also upset because he thinks I'm shallow and married because mom and dad wanted me to and because I pick bad friends. He presents me with the flowers he brought home, "I got you these."I take them and look at them, "thank you."He kisses my cheek, "you're welcome."We spend the rest the day together.
