It was morning now. The sun was rising up into the sky, its warm rays touching everything in sight. Its light streamed into homes, illuminating the once-dark rooms. Eita, who had been sleeping, finally opened his eyes.

He rubbed his tired eyes, blinking to adjust his vision. As everything became clear again, he sat up on the bed. It was then that he looked around and just barely recognized his surroundings. His gaze then drifted toward the door.

It was cracked open only slightly. Still, he could hear some noise coming faintly from the other side. He got up from the bed and walked toward the door, staggering a bit as he did. His muscles ached and his head throbbed in pain.

But he did his best to push through it as he made his way out of the room and down the hall. In the kitchen, Reon was busy cooking breakfast. He was humming a small tune to himself as he cracked an egg into the pan.

Past the sound of sizzling, Reon heard footsteps. He turned his head to the side and saw Eita standing at the doorway.

"Morning," he said.

"Morning," Eita responded, taking a seat at the table.

"How do you feel?"

"I'm sore... And I've got a headache..."

"Hm..."

Once the eggs were done cooking, Reon placed them onto a plate alongside the rest of the food he made. He then carried said plate over to the table, placing it in front of Eita.

"Here."

"Thanks..." Eita said, graciously accepting the food.

Reon turned on his heel and walked toward the fridge. "Any drink preferences?"

"Juice is fine..."

Reon grabbed a bottle, along with some pills from the cabinet, and placed them on the table. "Here."

"Thank you."

The black-haired male grabbed his own plate and sat down across from Eita. They ate in silence, simply enjoying their meal. But the peaceful silence ended when Reon decided to ask something.

"So... Why were you out on the streets so late yesterday?"

Eita set down his cup and cast his gaze down. "I was trying to look for someone..."

Reon thought for a moment, wondering who Eita could be looking for. That's when a certain name popped in his head. A name he remembered the ash blond mentioning before.

"Is it... Y/N?"

At the mention of the name, Eita looked back at Reon. For a split second, he thought that maybe his friend had finally remembered. But that hope was soon extinguished.

"I remember you bringing them up."

"Oh..." Eita said, slumping his shoulders. "Yeah..."

Reon sensed the sadness in his friend's tone. "I've been wondering for a while... Why are you looking for them? Did you...lose them or...?"

"Yeah..." Eita replied, chuckling dryly. "I lost him..."

"If you don't mind me asking... What happened?"

The ash blond sighed and looked down at the table. "I... did something stupid... I hurt him... Really badly... And now I regret it..."

"You said he was your boyfriend, right...?"

Eita nodded, feeling a heavy pressure on his chest. "Well... Have you found any leads on where you could find him?"

"No... I haven't..." he answered.
