Felix Fixes Nothing

It had been two weeks. He skipped school, feigning a stomach ache and texting Hyunjin and Changbin funny memes all day to keep them from growing suspicious. Seungmin still hadn't texted him back after he sent him a row of question marks, and he was too hurt to send anything else.

The bruises on his arms and face from his mother's shoe were definitely keeping him sane. He couldn't even leave his room without clutching one of them tightly and making them ache. His parents wouldn't even look at him.

Another week passed.

Changbin had been begging him to come out again, but he was worried about the way he looked. Somehow through text that translated to 'feeling ugly' and Felix agreed to do his makeup.

He couldn't keep turning them down, so he snuck out that Saturday, jumping into Hyunjin's car since he'd agreed to take him over.

"Why do you have your hood up Min?" the taller asked, his hands tightening on the steering wheel.

"Please drive."

They got to the freckled boy's house and he cried almost immediately, spilling the sordid tale while Felix blotted concealer all over his face.

"Minnie I am so sorry that happened. You want to stay here? At my place? My parents LOVE strays. They keep trying to adopt Chan and give him the life he deserves."

"Thank you, that's really nice. I don't know... I just want to move on. I want to forget. I can't wait until my father moves so I can leave this all behind."

"I can understand that... okay there, all done." He looked like he wanted to say a lot more but was holding back.

Minho turned to face the mirror, impressed with the look. All the bruising was covered, like it wasn't even there.

"Wow. You're amazing."

"Shut up. You have perfect skin and features so it's literally so easy to make you look good."

"You guys done in there?" Hyunjin called from the door.

"Yeah! Go on. Wow him." Felix giggled with a wink.

Minho strolled out and Hyunjin was stepping in his way, lifting his face with a strong hand under his jaw.

"Ah, you look good. I was afraid there was something going on since you were hiding from me."

That care he always showed him, it made Minho want to cry but he had no more tears left. "Thanks Jinnie. It's been kind of rough. We... uh... did Seungie tell you we kind of broke up?"

The younger's face fell.

It was wrong for him to be glad. So wrong. But he was anyway. He had to fight himself to keep the smile off his face. To keep looking surprised and not like he'd known that it would be happening eventually.

"No angel, haven't talked to Seungmin in a while- his dad said they were going out of town, and they wouldn't be back in a month." He hadn't understood it at the time, but now it seemed to be a whole lot clearer. They always ditched town after one of his 'projects'.

Felix finished getting dressed and they went to the club, meeting Chan outside when they arrived.

"Minho! It's been a while!" he grinned, grabbing his hand.

"Yeah, too long. Are you on tonight?"

He shook his head "Just here to dance and watch over 'Lixie-Loo."

That caused a fine blush and a few laughs. "I forgot about that."

Felix bumped him good-naturedly. "How could you forget inventing my new nickname? They won't stop using it."
