He pulled up and Minho jogged over, getting in with a wide smile.
"Seungie!"
"Min. You look very cute."
The elder chuckled, shaking his head. "You compliment me too much."
"Impossible. I clearly don't compliment you enough."
He drove off, taking them towards the bridge leading to the water. His phone rang on the way, but they were sitting in companionable silence, so he answered it.
"This better be good."
"Seungmin. Where are you?" Hyunjin asked, sounding out of breath.
He was glad his volume wasn't up too high "Going on a little boat ride with Minho."
The elder glanced over, noticing the emphasis he put on it. For some reason it raised the hairs on his neck.
"Already?"
"Yep. Did you need anything?"
"Uh. Where are you now?"
"Just drove past the burger place with the good ice cubes."
"Oh. Okay." He hung up and Seungmin scowled.
"Weird."
"Who was it?"
"Jinnie."
"Oh cool... I like Hyunjin."
Seungmin grinned, turning the air conditioning dial up. "He's nice right?"
"Yeah. I like all your friends Seungie."
"They all like you too." He took a chance, grabbing Minho's hand and holding it loosely.
When he didn't speak up, he glanced over, feeling his heart lurch. The shorter was flushed all the way down to his collarbones- staring out the window and gently gripping him back.
It must've been the thought of the blush disappearing beneath his shirt or something. For some reason Seungmin was having a hard time breathing. He'd have to get a little check-up during the week at his physicians.
Hyunjin was already standing by the boat when they pulled in.
"You didn't tell me Jinnie was coming!" Minho said, jumping out and running over to greet him.
"I didn't know he was coming." Seungmin hissed to himself, grabbing some gear and food out of the trunk.
"Hey bestie. Mind if I tag along?" the dancer asked when he reached them.
"Of course not. Grab the driver would you? I'm going to put all of this onboard."
"No trouble at all. Want to come with me Min?"
"Yeah!"
The younger watched them walk off with a frown. Asshole. He must've realized that Seungmin was going to attempt to leave him there. He could drive his father's boat just as well as any shipmaster, he just preferred not to. Especially because he thought he'd be too busy getting lucky.
They came back and Hyunjin gave him the tour while Seungmin glowered in the kitchen. The captain set them off on a regular sight-seeing course. Minho would love it.
He was leaning against the railing, holding onto his hat and laughing against the rush of wind when the two finally got a chance to talk.
"Is cockblocking a new hobby you're picking up?"
