Chapter 2: The Aftermath's Prologue

The snap! of the pool balls interjected between the idle chatter of the three Eunjang students. The post-fight high with Yoosun had left them tired and unpleasantly sore so they didn't really have much luxury to do anything more energetic.
Ben Park sat on a nearby bench, absently twirling his pool cue with a thoughtful hum.
"Well, that was a chilling ass experience." He mused, equal parts intrigued and disturbed. "Did you peep the expression on that kid's face? What kind of wacky ass character was that?"
Alex and Gerard didn't comment much on it, the former being too annoyed at the latter's presence and the latter being more interested in the pretty receptionist that sat reading a few feet away.
Ben huffed out a laugh, resting his chin on his hand. "Seriously, that Gray Yeon is something else. Saying he has to go to his after-school class after causing all that chaos. That's cap! It doesn't fit that edgy bastard at all."
Alex and Gerard didn't miss a beat. "Fits him perfectly."
Ben ceased twirling his cue as he thought about it for a moment. The ruthlessness that Gray had showed in that underpass and just the general "fuck-around-and-find-out" attitude was something he never quite seen before, especially from someone who looked like they'd get scouted by HYBE. On the flipside though...
"And there's that Younghee girl. She looked close to having a panic attack the whole time we were there!" He stood up from the bench, waltzing over to the table to play his turn. "Not that I blame her of course. Being a lone chick surrounded by a bunch of dudes throwing hands? That's gotta be some scary shit."
Turn now over, Gerard stood up with a thoughtful hum. It certainly was a surprise to see a Younghee student in the area, but the same could be said for the Yoosun guys as well. Heh, perhaps a turf war was brewing in the midst?
"Well, you gotta give her some credit. She wasn't scared completely stiff. I even saw her get a hit or two in." Though the elbow she threw didn't do much damage, had she been quicker she probably would've knocked that pink haired jackass out.
Ben readied his pool cue, focusing intently on the balls set out before him. "Yeah, that's true. And she did give Alex that heads up earlier too!" He shot a quick, cheeky grin over to his friend. "Ain't you glad you don't have to deal with a sore back buddy~?"
Alex flushed a little before shooting a glare in return. "Ha? Shut up, stoopid~."
As those two bickered, Gerard pulled out a familiar pink polka dot bag from his pocket. He tossed it up and down, feeling the weight of what he supposed were cookies in his palm. Getting a bag of treats from a girl wasn't a new experience for him, but the reason for it this time certainly was. Though he kinda wished it were under sweeter (heh) circumstances, he appreciated it none the less. He didn't mind helping her out. After all, what kind of guy would just sit on his ass and let a girl get hit? A shit one, that's who. Personally, he considered those types just as bad as the ones who did the hittin'.
He snorted derisively, opening the bag and revealing what he was suspecting. The sweet aroma of chocolate chip cookies wafted in the air and damn if they didn't look as good as they smelled. He quickly took a bite and one could see the pleased sparkles he emitted a mile away. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and large chocolate chunks that melted in his mouth. Man, these were actually pretty damn good!
