Grey and Lifeless is what I would best describe this place. Cold as the rain kept pouring and not one sunray to be seen. Wet, gloomy and still, this is what I always see the world. Colors and noises filled the city streets yet I could only see its shadows with each person passing one, living their own lives, far different to mine. I never mind, this is what I always dream. Nothing more nor different. The cycle never ends. Amongst the lives inside TV screens is what I only hope for a sudden change, but who am I kidding, I'm just some human waiting for life to finally end. But even so my life wasn't always this isolated. I remember having somebody to call "Mom" and "Dad" and another warm, gentle voice. There I saw a different face, smile and aura, a totally different girl but dark clouds came and everything went black. When I regained sight, the girl was gone for she became me. Another dream I guess, I wonder how many dreams will I waste on this life?

"LIZ!!! WAKE UP, IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL!!" a voice yelled. I got up before she could shout another word and prepared for myself for school. Elizabeth Lune is my name but people call me Liz and I live in Varome. That was my aunt Hellena, who is a very strict and sophisticated lady, not really showing the normal love and affection to the naked eye, even to her own children, Ruth and Jax. She just have a different way of doing so and it never really bothers me, she's not my real aunt afterall. I was just suddenly found in her doorsteps but atleast she never treats me like a maid. I mean I'm even lucky to go to a school and have a place for daily survival. Her kids and I went to the same prestige school at our city, Euphelor High. I am of the fourth grade while Ruth was third. Jax was our senior so we don't often see each other.

"Earth to Liz, hey!" Ruth softly yelled. "C'mon let's go" she added. When walking to school, I suddenly noticed something to her. Did she get a new hair or a new perfume? I asked her and she just laughed. She was like a little sister to me and my best friend at home.

My life in highschool was a pretty normal one. I do well with my classes and activities, paricipate well with clubs- I entered 3 actually; drama, music and art. Sports are not really my thing but I do have very quick reflexes because aunt runs a martial art studio. I don't really have a big group of friends since I usually find them quite annoying and loud. The only person on campus I'm close to is Erica Heriltton, a year older then me but we're on the same grade. She is chatty and nosy at most but very bold and strong willed when dealing with problems. I was always aloof, grounded and mindful about the world. Why did she became my friend?; this was always a puzzle to me but with time, I began to accept her in my life.

(bell rings)

"Let's go Liz" Erica called. While walking towards the classroom she mentioned something. "Have you heard of the new student?" she asked. Not knowing what she was talking about, I shrugged, a signal I often use for things I don't know, like most people do. "Well I heard he was a senior, probably around a year or two, he was a transfer student from Archine. I think his name was Rolan Rayze" Erica uttered. Archine was a prestige school from the west neighboring city, Taloville, where aunt found me. I looked completely uninterested and went inside the classroom. During at the middle of the lesson, I peeked outside the window and caught a butterfly fluttering, "ahh what beauty" I thought. Then a human figure appeared at the front gardens. He wasn't in class like he should be and was just relaxing. He is so getting himself into trouble. The butterfly came close to him and looked up.

Our eyes met for the first time, his hair was of the same color of my school bag or that of a sunset. It was golden and bright. His orbs were as green as summer's grass or emeralds. "Since when have I ever think of this" I thought confusingly. It was strange and complicated. It was so new to me. I even forgot about class for a short time. But atleast the teacher's question snapped me back to reality and over that whimsical feeling. After class, I went to the music room to get some notes before heading to the cafeteria. I told Erica we'll meet there and on my way to the room, I spotted him again but this time, he was with a group of boys. Probably his friends. He was laughing and talking, uhh why do I even bother. While going to the cafeteria I passed by them and we exchanged glances for a second and instantly turn my head away.
