The halls were filled with murmurs and whispers. Eyes turning directions everywhere. It was a rather bothering feeling to me. Erica was puzzled and Rolan was completely absentminded. The atmosphere suddenly changed when someone walked in. Three complete strangers wearing our school uniform catwalked into the center, asking one of the students to lead them to the principal's office. He looked wonderstruck by the sight of the first girl.
I mean most of the guys are. Senior or junior, no doubt their gazes locked onto her, I could see the girls are quite jealous of the attention of a nobody that guys looked liked their eyes are shaped like hearts. Her hair was as red as a rose and eyes as golden as daffodils. Skin as smooth as pearl and a voice so sweet. I think I prefer it as pitchy. The male one, with hair as black as coal and eyes as brown as wood tapped her shoulder and beckoned her. She replied as that she knew what he meant to say without using words. The last girl with orange hair and violet eyes followed behind quietly with her head on the floor. When they entered the principal's room, students chattered and started shrieking. I asked the school's gossip queen, Willow Dollinsky about what just happened.
Willow:"Oh Lady Moon, those people that just passed by are exchanged studednt from another country. Their school had them sent here to finish their education and gain experience of our city"
{You might be wondering why she called me "Lady Moon", well after the camping incident, the board members, teachers and students praised us for our bravery which led to the safety of everyone. Sooner or later, the students called me Lady Moon and Rolan as Sun Prince, making as what they call the "Twilight Duo". Do not even know why they bother to.}
Liz:"And their names?"
Willow:"The red-haired girl and black-haired boy are Amanda and Luke Zakinnsen. They're very rich cause their parents are millionares. In their school, they were famous for having the looks. The girl with orange hair is Katrine Opeal. They said she's the daughter of one of the twin's maids but I took a little dive deeper and it's proven that she's a relative of theirs"
Liz:"Wow thank you Willow"
Willow:"Anytime Lady Moon (walks away)"
Liz:"Well you heard that Erica?"
Erica:"Loud and clear. Think they're gonna be a pain?"
Liz:"That would vary, if they want to be"
Erica:"Can't wait to find out, what'd you think Rolan?"
Rolan:"Uhm sorry paid no attention, what are we talking about?"
Liz:"Good answer"I already hate the two. I know trouble people when I see them. And they are the absolute definition of chaos. Maybe except for that violet-eyed girl. She seems nice but have to keep my eyes open. Afterall, my life already took a wild turn, lets see if this one does. And Oh my god...
Ever since they came, the academy took a wild 360° turn. Amanda became instantly famous for being pretty and rich. She became the school's goddess and that made Courtney flaming mad. But instead of rivalling her, they became friends and rulled the place. If only their hearts were as pretty as their faces, guess you can't always have everything. Luke was the worst. He befriended Blaze and joined the soccer team. He and Blaze became number one bullies and most students were threatened not to snitch on them.
At lunch, Amanda and Luke were like royalties, having students deliver their lunches for money. Many loved and hated them. That included me and Erica, for hating. Rolan acted unbothered but remained vigilant especially to them. We all are cause they can be anyone's worst enemy. So annoying. Expelling them would be tricky since they are undoubtedly rich and gets away so easily. One time at lunch, Amanda came to our table with Katrine, looking shy as always. She ignored Erica and me and immediately approached Rolan. He was startled but courteously said hi. She kept flirting with him while he just paid no attention and continued eating.
I was irritated by such scene and he knew that so he told her off and she left. I could feel Courtney's rage from afar. Just how many crazy girls can he have wrapped around his fingers. I glanced at Katrine, she looked so quiet, she actually reminds me of myself before. She left with the girls and sat with them at lunch. Something's very off around her. She looks oddly familiar? Or- just, I can't find the words.
The next few days, Amanda stayed the same. I was so boiling mad at her annoyance. She was even more infuriating than Rolan. I cannot blame him for having a friendly and outgoing nature. Time passed and they seem to quite get along with some topics I basically have no interest in knowing about. He still hangs out with us but to Amanda, he's supportive of her character. Like hello, she's a total brat but I figured I wasn't gonna care aymore. I wasn't going to let her clingginess to Rolan affect me. I know what kind of game she's playing and she really thought I was blind. Although to be honest, their closeness gives me a weird throb at a corner of my heart. I'm happy that he's happy but still, it feels different. Then for some reason, as Erica would descibe it, I became quite distracted by alot of things. It was like being pulled underwater. Not wanting to lingger into this feeling anymore, I got a grip and decided to try something, hoping be an antidote by these thoughts. Being friends with Katrine Opeal.
Rolan's POV:
Wow, Amanda is the absolute incarnation of a total brat. If it's just once, I would bang her head on a metal pole or stitch that mouth of hers without a doubt. How vexatious. But I cannot risk Luney into this, I must continue. Though I hope she doesn't mistaken my attitude towards Amanda as a friendly gesture. I will make it up to her. I don't know how but I'll figure something out. I'll tell her soon, right now is too menacing. I can't bear for her to face any of the price to be paid. Sorry Luney, but we'll have lose some strings to prevent further danger. I can't see you like that, no more. I have wasted days and nights on joyless and blank smiles, moods and expressions far known to the sensations present whenever you're by my side. How I wish you'd know, even in the slightest thought, that I did this not for my own will but the very least I could do to protect you from them, from him.
