haechan and renjun didn't talk much to each other, despite having a few shared friends, seeing each other a lot in school, being blockmates.

"ma! i'll be hanging out with chenle after school, is that okay?" renjun asked as he ran down the stairs, his mom looking at him like he just asked her boss to fire her

"what store are your heeled boots from?" his mom also asked, pointing at renjuns shoes

"ah...i really don't know how to say the name of the store, but i'll bring you there! bye mama" renjun smiled and gave his mom an innocent peck on the cheek before walking out of the house.

lunch, thats when the whole group gathers together.

"come on you two...you've been in the same friend group as each other since the first day, atleast become close or something" jaemin says, massaging his temples

jaemin, hes the most normal friend out of the seven, hes haechans mom.

"you don't see me becoming friends with the same people i see on the streets, do you?" renjun furrowed his eyebrows at jaemin, earning a coo from chenle

thats chenle! renjuns fanboy. he has a pretty important role but whatever

"just talk to each other" jeno whined, "its weird having friends who just glare at each other, like, use your vocal cords"

"hes right! we can't even tell if you two like being in the same group."

"they obviously don't..." jisung muttered, getting slightly intimidated by how haechan and renjun glared at each other.

mark sighed and lightly slammed his hands on the table, "don't pressure them. why don't we have a little sleepover tomorrow night?"
