sadness couldn't be helped. renjun knew he couldn't get sad over someone who his crush likes,

he can't control it, he never could.

he was there laying down on the bed, bubbling his lips while picking on the bed sheet out of boredom.

his tears were dry, eyes red.

he didn't have any energy today, even if its only getting up to eat or check his phone, nothing.

he looked up at his door, hearing paper slide under it, he spotted a yellow folded paper

finally getting up to check it, he grabbed the letter and read it,

this is jian, auntie said that you were sad so i copied the letters from the spelling book she gave jian

i worked hard!!!!

renjun chuckled at jians effort, he had to pay her back somehow.

maybe being mama huangs boyfriend and jian wouldn't be so bad.

"ma! i'll be out for a bit!" renjun yelled out, waving at jian who was playing with some toys.

he made his way to the nearest convenience store, going through different aisles to search for a candy that wouldn't hurt a six year old

maybe gummies wouldn't be bad as long as the kid chews it and not decide to swallow it whole.

he turned his head over to where some laughter was, seeing haechan and a taller boy, was this the boy haechan was talking about?

he couldn't lie, the boy was handsome, but he couldn't help the fact that his life will be ruined because of haechan liking someone else.

he put his head down the whole time, paying for jians candy and running away as fast as he could just to avoid seeing haechan again, or perhaps just to avoid falling more and getting even more sad than he already was.

"here you go, can you tell mama that i'll be at a friends house?" renjun smiled and handed jian her candy, jian nodded with a smile and whispered that he should go do his thing already, she didn't want renjun being alone and sad the whole day laying down in his room like a statue, so covering for her future brother would be great.

renjun immediately burst into tears as soon as chenle pulled him in a hug the moment he entered the house,

chenle and jisung didn't like seeing renjun like this, usually he would be bubbly and sassy but there wasn't ever a time where he cried like this.
