Zenitsu turned to Tanjiro, shakily questioning him, "H-Hey Tanjiro.. is that the childrens..." The boy spoke up from the corner, "He.. he isn't our brother. Our brother is wearing a different colored haori.."

"Let's go in then" Tanjiro spoke.
Zenitsu then began vigorously shaking his head 'no'

Zenitsu scrambled over to him, pouncing on Tanjiro's back, "WAAAH!! DONT LOOK AT ME WITH A FACE FULL OF FURY!! I'LL COME ALONG, OKAY!?"  Tanjiro looked downwards,

"I don't plan on forcing you." Zenitsu started to shake Tanjiro, sobbing hysterically, "I'LL COME ALONG! I'LL COME ALONGGG!!"

Y/n smiled and reassured that he would be fine, making zenitsu melt at her touch.

Tanjiro set Nezukos box down in front of the children, "I'm going to leave this box with you and Y/n, okay? No matter what happens, it will protect you both."

Y/n made her way over to the kids, flashing Tanjiro her infamous smile, "I will look after the children then"  He nodded,

the younger girl started to eye the wilted leaves and flowers on the ground.

Y/n took notice of this, Does she want more flowers or something??
Y/n's chest swelled with pride.
She grew a beautiful small Sakura tree that was the size of a bush, in front of the kid, whose eyes went wide in awe.

Tanjiro and  Zenitsu, who was whimpering walked into the mansion and out of sight.  As they walked through each hallway, Zenitsu kept quietly sobbing. "Hey Tanjiro.. you'll  protect me right?! You'll make sure I don't die, right?!"

Tanjiro sighed, still walking ahead, "Zenitsu.. there's something i must apologize to you about.." Zenitsu sniffled, stiffening. He managed to squeak out, "Eh..? What is it..?"  Tanjiro turned his head to face Zenitsu,

"Actually.. my ribs got fractured from my last fight I also got a busted wrist, sprained ankle and injured back. So..." Zenitsu started screeching, "EH?! HOW DO YOU HAVE BONE FRACTURES?! NOO!! IF YOU ARE INJURED.. WHO'S GOING TO PROTECT MEEEE!? I'M GOING TO DIEEE!!" 

Zenitsu kept going, flopping around like a fish out of water, "WHAT DO I DO?! WHAT DO I DO?! IM GONNA DIE! IM GONNA DIE! I'LL DEFINITELY DIEE!! I'M ALREADY DEAD! I'M 99.9% ALREADY DEAD!!"  

His antics were interrupted by a sudden pitter patter of footsteps coming from the hall, making the 2 of them to shut up and snap their heads in the direction. Zenitsu slapped his hands up to his cheeks, "ITS A DEMON! IM GONNA DIE!"  Tanjiro looked at Zenitsu in annoyance, "Be quiet!"

Tanjiro went to unsheathe his sword, but paused when the kids ran into view. 

He started to freak out, "You kids cant be in here! It's dangerous!" The kids had tears in their eyes, and the girl cupped Sakura flowers in her hands. "We came.. b-because the box started to rattle..!"

Tanjiro jogged up to meet them halfway, "Even so..! You can't just leave it there.. the box is precious to me! Its more important than my own life..  and you left Y/n !"

Back to y/n:

She sat outside, small tears running down her face, 'I can't believe I lost them.' She thought.
'How can I call myself a hero if I can barely keep an eye out for 2 children'

Almost half an hour went by, when suddenly Zenitsu and one of the kids were grown out of the building, y/n quickly caught them with her vines and treated their cuts and bruises.

Not long after, a guy wearing a boar 🐗 head, ran up to them yelling he was going to slay the demon in the box.

Zenitsu held tightly onto the box while shaking and y/n was shooting vines at the boar head man.

The amount of vines increased and soon the boar man got trapped.

Y/n didn't remember too much after that, since she passed out for not sleeping and overusing her quirk for 2 days in a row.

When she woke up, she was met with the boar man burying bodies faster than she ever could.
Y/n watched in confusion.

Zenitsu soon noticed she was awake and started asking her to marry him again.
"Please marry me, my darling rosemary"

Y/n's eyes widened at the familiar nickname before she just smiled at zenitsu, not giving him a proper answer.
