DISCLAIMER: I have not watched The Black Phone yet, so I won't make it very descriptive sorry! 10:03am I wiped my forehead after moving a heavy box. "Thank you for helping me." Y/n smiled at Jacob. "Yeah, It's not like I had much of a choice," Jacob said rolling his eyes playfully. Today you finally decided to move half of your stuff into the hype house. Luckily you had claimed a room before anyone new moved in. "What should we do now?" Y/n asked looking at Jacob. "I have an idea."
Jacob pulls into the parking lot of the movie theatre. "What are we gonna watch?" Y/n asks secretly hoping its not a horror movie. "Hm I was thinking 'The Black Phone'." Jacob said while checking the review mirror. "Whats that?" Y/n looks at Jacob while he fixes his sunglasses. "Its a new horror movie." He said getting out of the car. Y/n froze, trying not to look too nervous. Obviously she wasn't the type to act like a baby at the movies. I mean it was just a movie right?
After getting the tickets Jacob orders candy, popcorn, and slushies. You both hold the tickets and food, then walk up to Theatre #9. You both sit in the middle row.
Suddenly someone taps your shoulder. It was a boy who you'd never seen before. "Hey, I'm a huge fan of you Y/n. Do you think we could take a picture?" He smiles sweetly so obviously you said yes. "Of course!" You smile back at him and put the candy on the chair. "Can Jacob take the picture? But I don't want him in it." He said. "Oh uh... Jacob?" "Yeah whatever." He stood up and took a quick picture with flash, since the theatre was dark. "Thanks!" He stumbled back to his seat.
Deep down Jacob felt a little jealous that someone was such a big fan of you, and he was a boy. Does this mean most of your fan base are boys? Jacob still is clueless to why he feels this way.
Eventually, the movie started. After a few minutes, there was a jump scare. Y/n jumped a little. Jacob noticed it but decided not to say anything. 20 more minutes into the movie, Jacob decided to make a move. Just as a joke, because he definitely didn't like you.
He tried to do the fake yawn, then arm around your shoulder. Once he touched your shoulder you jumped and made a small scream, till Jacob covered your mouth. "AH-" "SHHHH" Jacob looked Y/n in the eyes. "Sorry!" She whispered loudly.
She was wondering what you were trying to do. After another 5 minutes when the movie calmed down, he tried again and successfully put his arm around your shoulder. Instagram

Secretly, you felt comfortable with his arm around you. Though, you act like you didn't notice because of your thick jacket.
Eventually the movie was about to come to an end. Jacob wasn't paying attention to any part of the movie. All he could think about was you. He realized he might as well try to make a move now. "Hey Y/n" he said and looked you right in the eyes. "What's up?" Y/n asked, feeling butterflies in her stomach. "Can I kiss you?" He asked. At this point your heart stopped. You discreetly pinched your leg, thinking you may have been dreaming. "Ow!" You said really quietly. "Huh? I'm sorry I don't want to mess anything u-" Y/n quickly kissed him then pulled away. Jacob immediately froze. Y/n looked flushed and turned back to the movie screen.
You guys didn't talk till you got back to the car. It wasn't exactly an awkward silence, it was more of a too-embarrassing-to-talk situation. "So... should we go back to the Hype House?" He asked, after building up enough confidence to talk. "Yeah sure..." Y/n basically whispered. "Wait what?" Jacob said, since you were so quiet. "I SAID YEAH SURE" Y/n said louder than she intended.
Eventually you guys got back to the Hype House. Y/n SPRINTED up to Paige's room. Y/n banged on her door. "OPEN YOUR DOOR PAIGE!" "OKAY OKAY! Geez." She yelled from the other side of the door. As soon as she opened her door you ran in then shut it.
Y/n gasps for air after running. "Are you running for a murderer?" She asks giggling "Jacob kissed me at the movies." Y/n said as quickly as possible. "JACOB KISSED YOU?? OMG!" She hopped onto her bed and started jumping up and down. "Well, I kissed him but he asked to kiss me." Y/n says, playing with her hair. "I KNEW IT!" "What do you mean?" Y/n asked confused. "It was so obvious that you both liked each other!" She said, happy for her.
With Jacob "Dude we kissed... what do I say to her now?" Jacob asked Bryce while playing with a rubix cube. "Just play it off cool, tell her you don't like her. She'll definitely get the hint. Trust me bro." Bryce said, genuinely thinking he helped. "Okay... what if she doesn't get the hint though? What if she thinks I hate her?" Jacob said, a little concerned. "Don't worry about it! You got this." Bryce said patting Jacob on the back.
With Y/n "Just tell him how you feel! Say you like him. You got this!" Paige said patting your shoulder.
At the same time, Y/n and Jacob walk out of their friends rooms. They both walk to the stairs, then see each other. "Jacob I need to tell you something." Y/n said trying to avoid his eyes. "I need to tell you something too. Let's say it at the same time." He said. "Alright, 3, 2, 1, I really like you." "I don't like you." you both stared into each others eyes as your jaws dropped.
