R- "WHAT!!! I DID NOT EXPECT THAT. CAN YOU EXPLAIN!!"
*I tell her everything that has happened up until now leaving out the parts of their true identity*
R-"No way you have two faces! Let me see!"
I take my mask off to reveal my face and my eyes.
R- "Wait if you are the space spirit, how can you use psychic powers?"
A-"I'm going, to be honest, I don't know I'm just going to say just like those fake fortune-tellers do, mystical arts and whatnot."
R- "Wait so how did you get the black and gold arrow?"
A- "It just appeared in my archery bag one day. I've always liked archery and one day I just found it in my bag."
R- "Wait so are all of the spirits besides you dead?"
A- "Apparently, but I'm still not sure I'm just going off of what my mom and Seth said."
R- "And now you need to find five and a half relics to bring them back."
A- "Yea"
R- "Then why don't you ask the mirror if it can tell you the truth? Ask where the nearest relic is. How have you not thought of this?"
A- "Your right."
R- "Of course, I am always right."
I take out the mirror and put it on the table.
A- "Mirror, show me where the nearest relic of creation is that I am not aware of."
The mirror started to fog and then a light beamed out of it. An image appeared it was the Neapolitan rose. Once I saw that I took the rose that I still had in my pocket out for Ruby and Valentino to see.
A- "How is this a relic? It doesn't look like any of the others. "
R- "Ask the book idiot."
V- "Yeah you said that the book had all the information on the relics and their spirits."
A- "Might as well."
I took the book out and said the phrase to open it.
The Book of the damned is at your command
"Book tells me about the relic that looks like a rose."
The everlasting rose, property of the second spirit on the council. It can control all plant life and create plant life and resources including fresh water and earth. When not in use it will disguise itself as a unique rose until in use. To activate it, a midnight spirit just needs to say everlasting rose and its true form will be revealed.
I closed the book and held the rose.
"Everlasting rose."
The rose started to glow. Its petals fell revealing its black and gold petals. This is what we were looking for.
*a different place a different time*
POV CONNER
C- "ATLAS!!! HELP! THE PILLAR FELL ON ME AND I CAN'T TELEPORT FOR SOME REASON"
T- "Everlasting rose."
Giant vines quickly appeared lifting the pillar off of me."
T- "Our powers are being siphoned we need to get out of here."
C- "Thanks, Tina."
T- "Hurry, we need you alive to get out of here alive."
C- "I know."
Another blast is heard and the hallway entering the cosmic gardens starts to collapse. The whole room started to shake. The hallway that we needed to exit out of started to get damaged but Tina grew vines to secure the structure. We were almost out when an energy blast collapsed the exit.
T- "He is trying to escape!"
1- "Leave it to me."
5- "1 no we need to leave."
1- "Tina fixes the exit while I deal with him."
1's twin eyes came out. Those things can command all of creation, they are by far the strongest relics when it comes to sheer power. He started by stunning it with the eye of truth. It wouldn't last long so he tried to sentence him with the eye of judgment but for the first time, it didn't work. Judgment was the second part of 1's relic and it did nothing. It can destroy even something that is supposed to be immortal. In retaliation, the creature sent out a blast that hit 1. He fell in pain and slowly started to disappear.
Everyone- "1!!!"
Atlas and I ran over to him.
C- "1 you are going to be alright I promise."
1- "Conner you know my name."
C- "I am so sorry Oscar."
I started to cry as Oscar started to disappear from existence. I felt a hand on my shoulder I thought it was Atlas but it was Hearts. With one hand she commanded all the relics to circle where he was last. A feather fell from her wings and lit up it slowly grew and morphed into Oscar. All the relics pointed at him and shot beams of light at him. The twin eyes came forward and released his spirit back into his body.
*gasp from oscar*
I hugged him and started to yell.
C- "NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!"
T- "We have to go! He is trying to get out!"
*back at the restaurant*
A- "Well, that makes three and a half so now we just need four and a half more".
R-"Hey, Alex are you sure all the spirits are dead?"
A- "Yeah why?"
R-"Why don't you ask the mirror, if there still is one alive we can ask them for help they might better help than watch dude."
A-"Why not? Mirror, are there any more midnight spirits alive?"
The mirror started to fog and darken. It started to move uncontrollably and lifted into the air. It sent out a big flash of light along with a heavy fog. I found myself lost until I saw a figure of a human I thought it was Valentino or Ruby but when I got closer I saw a glow of magenta light.
A-"HEY RUBY? VALENTINO?"
The person turned around and I saw a very attractive guy with black hair and a hoodie. His eyes were glowing magenta. He got closer and closer to me until we were face to face. I couldn't feel my mask anymore. It was gone and my eyes were glowing. The fog was thick so I couldn't see any distinct features besides his eyes.
unknown-"It's you."
When he said that he disappeared and the fog let down. The mirror fell into my hand.
