To some, it might be a surprise (or no surprise at all) that when I was younger, I actually hated writing. I would avoid it as much as possible and would always complain when I had to write. When I was younger, I always said "I'll never be an author!"
But my mother told me, "Don't say never to anything."
It is actually because of her my writing career survived it's very early stages. I just remembered how she always said I could make anything better.
One of the reasons I started writing was because of Wattpad! I saw Minecraft:Story Mode fanfictions and I thought, "Hey, I want to do that. I think I can do that just as well as anyone else."
This was back at the very beginning of Covid, in about March. I got a notebook that had been sitting empty for a couple of weeks and I just started writing Minecraft:Story Mode fanfictions. Unable to leave the house, and being homeschooled, I had lots of time for my writing, and looking back, I can see how much I've progressed.
