You heard a ding from your phone. As you checked it there was a message in the Avengers groupchat from Tony
Meeting in 10 minutes
Oh god another meeting just to hear him bitch, you've groaned

As everyone got to the meeting you where the last to get there unfortunately you had to sit next to Mr. No emotion sorcerer.
As the meeting started like usual but Tony started to bitch at Stephen again
Here we go these two fighting like husbands are at it, you thought before you hit your head on the table
"Can you two stop arguing?" You yelled out "Everytime when we're in a meeting you two always argue can we just have one meeting were you two don't argue at all"
Without a thought you didn't expect to say that at all and everyone is either looking at you in confusion or proud.
"Look Ms. Wizard-" Tony tried to say before getting interrupted
"(Y/N) has a point Tony, it's always you and Stephen for once we need some peace can we all go now?" Nat says
Tony gives in "Fine" he says rolling his eyes while walking off to get a drink.
As everyone leaves to their respective places you felt a hand grab your wrist before you get to use your magic for self defense it was only Stephen, "Oh it's you" You said with a fake uninterested tone
"Thank You!" Stephen said, "I've been meaning to tell him that"
"No problem Dr. Stra-"
"You can call me Stephen," he says with a small smile before going serious and leaving to his room.
As Nat walks from behind she asks with a smirk, "What was that?"
You whispered, "I don't know but he wants me to call him Stephen"
Nat winks at you, "this might mean something (Y/N)"
As she walks off with a smile you realised no one here ever calls him Stephen only Dr. Strange.
—Stephens POV—
As your pacing around your room you couldn't help but to be in your thoughts, Why did I do that why did I tell her to call me Stephen when everyone calls me Stephen
Before he could think of anything you where interrupted by a knocking "Come in"
"Sir I have a question?" Peter asks
"Yes, what is it?"
"Ok so like we're throwing a surprise party for (Y/N) since her birthday is this Saturday and we where supposed to talk about it during the meeting but you know she was there and Tony sent the me-"
"I'll help," You've said with a smile, "For in fact I volunteer to distract her"
Peter smiles," Ok"
As he runs off he says, "MR. STARK!! MR STARK!!"
Stephen smiled and he knew he had to buy a gift for you too.
—Your POV—
As everyone was acting suspicious I couldn't help it but the only person who was acting "normal" was Stephen and Natasha who always knows how to not act suspicious.
You hear Nat say, "Why are y'all acting suspicious get back to what y'all where doing it's just (Y/N)"
You couldn't help but to put your finger on it. Yes tomorrow was your birthday but this was weird but you've decided to move on about it.
