Writer's Update

Hello, beautiful people ♡

It’s been almost two years since I went on hiatus and I wanted to give you all a proper update about TAMED before this year ends.

The last time I checked in here was to ask your thoughts about publishing TAMED into a physical release with a reduced 90k word count. The majority voted yes, but I also mentioned that the final decision would still depend on what felt right for the story.

Not long after (2023), I signed TAMED with one of my dream publishing houses here in PH and part of the discussion involved following a word count limit. I genuinely tried to make it work t,t but no matter how much I edited, I couldn’t bring it down to 90k without removing moments that many of you love. I swear, the opportunity was beautiful, but I didn’t want a printed version that felt incomplete or stripped of its heart. I want to honor what TAMED is and what it means to all of us. Maybe the timing just isn’t there right now.

If the traditional publishing becomes possible again in the future, I would be happy. Really happy. But if it means sacrificing the parts you all cherish, I may choose to self publish instead. That way, the version you read here would be the version you get in print... unchanged, untrimmed, and true to its full form.

Right now, I’m busy outside of writing, so there are no final publishing plans yet.

Because of all this, I’ve restored the story to its ORIGINAL STATE. Not the FINAL MANUSCRIPT VER ANYMORE. The scenes I cut, the fillers, the song choices, everything. TAMED is back to its full 500k+ word count. The only thing left to polish is 'yong ibang narration ng POV ni Zamantha. I'm listening to y'all. Aayusin natin 'yan. I will fix it gradually whenever I have the time, okay? Kung kaya ng oras. For now, my priority is completing LITFIL (Cash's story).
