BLUE POV
Aaliyah and I stumbled into out apartments. I was actually holding her after the wild night we had.
We went out and Aaliyah didn't bring her wheelchair. When she goes out without her wheelchair, she has this different type of confidence. It's almost like she has an alter ego.
I had to stop her from leaving with one boy and fighting with two girls. I even had to punch a drunk girl in the face for her.
When it was time to go, she was so tired that I had to carry her all the way home while she ate cookies. At least she was nice enough to feed me.
"Blueberry... I'm fucked up." She was half asleep but she was fighting it like a baby.
"I know, you need to leave Casamigos alone, you're a lady." I opened the door to her room and laid her down.
She sniffled, "I need to call my nigga to hold me."
"What's wrong?" I don't even know what nigga she was talking about, she has so many.
I started to take her heels off and trying to ignore the vagina staring at me. It's nothing I haven't seen before, we're best friends.
"I just want to be loved and cuddled. You're so lucky Kai's already in your bed."
"She is?" Shit.
"You know this, she told you over the phone she was coming over and not to stay out too late."
"The suns up already, she's probably going to be mad. I should've gotten her breakfast or something."
"Y'all just need to break up at this point. You're up all night partying and she's up all day studying and reading books."
"I study and read books too?" I'm quite the intellectual.
"Not like her, that's all she does. Plus, you know you don't want to be loyal. It's better to break up with her than to cheat on her. The faster you break up with her, the faster you can do whatever you want with whatever girl."
"You know what? You're right. I'm going to break up with her right now."
"Be nice so we can all still be friends."
The last thing I wanted to do was hurt Kai. That's exactly why I'm breaking up with her. We want different things and if we don't break up, I'll end up hurting her.
I tucked Aaliyah in bed and kissed her forehead. She was drunk texting one of her boy toys.
I left Aaliyah's room and went into my own. Kai was already up and typing someone at my desk.
She only barely looked up when she saw me. "You look like you had a fun night."
"Yeah, I did."
"Where'd you guys go?"
"We went to a Bnb then a party then an after party. We almost got kicked out because Aaliyah was fighting and after we got some food. I would've bought you a cookie but I wasn't expecting you to be up."
"Well it is the morning so..."
"I wasn't expecting to be out this late, we were just having fun. I mean, we're in college. It's pretty normal to stay out until the sun comes up."
"Nobody's stopping you, have all the fun you want." She's so passive aggressive.
I sat down on my bed, "I think we should break up."
She finally looked up and tuned around. "What?"
"I just- this isn't high school anymore. I think we're here for two different experiences and it's just not the right time for you. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with you studying all the time, I really admire how motivated you are but I just don't think we want the same things. I want to be free and able to do whatever and not have to worry about my girlfriend who doesn't want to come out with me."
