the day of frog catching: <3
once i woke up i took a shower and got changed into my outfit:

once i got changed i texed kel:
y/n❤️ "k im ready r u?"
basketballK💪 "yea"
y/n❤️ "k wheres the place we're going to?"
basketballK💪 "just come to my house and we'll walk there"

i grabbed my bag and put my phone, my polaroid, and some other stuff.

i knocked on kel's door and i heard kel say, "MOM DON'T OPEN IT I WANT TO!" "ok, sweetie!" i heard his mom say. and then kel opened the door. "hiya y/n!" he then started looking at my outfit, "w-wow you look beautiful." he said turning bright red, "thank you.." i said scratching the back of my neck. "Y/N, KEL, COME HERE!" i heard his mom yell from inside. we both started walking over and i saw his mom with a polaroid camera in hand. "stand next to each other, i wanna put this in my family photo album!" we both blushed and stood next to each other smiling awkwardly. "say cheese!" "cheese!" we both said smiling and the camera clicked, with the flash, burning my eyes. "ok i'm getting bored, let's go!" he grabbed my hand and sprinted out the door, grabbing two nets. "YOU DON'T WANNA SEE THE PICTURE?!" kel's mom said yelling, while we were midway through the front door. "NO MA!" he said closing the door behind him.
- time skip -
once we got to the place (which was just a forest behind kel's house.) i set my purse down and took out my camera. "there are normally frogs here! where are they!" he said walking around, "oh, hey look! a beetle!" he said crouching down and putting his hand on the ground. *click!* "did you take a picture of me?" he said excitedly, standing up. "yup! i couldn't give up the chance to." the picture was printed and it looked amazing:

"i look so good!" kel spoke looking at the picture, "you do indeed," i said giggling. "oh! look over there, it's a pond. that means there're frogs!" he stated passing me my net and running over to the pond. i walked over and saw him sitting by the pond. i sat on a stump close to the pond. "is everything ok with hero?" i asked him.
he grew silent for a while and then realized he wasn't speaking and said, "o-oh he's doing.. alright." "kel, if he's not doing ok i want to know. i want him to get better too," i said. "well, yesterday i came into his room and i tried to talk to him about it, but he just pushed me away." he said worryingly. i walked over to him and hugged him from behind, "i'm really sorry kel. after this, would it be ok if i could see hero?" i asked him, "y-yea." "ok, enough of sadness let's catch frogs!"
"look! there's one right there!" he pointed near the edge of the pond. i walked over and caught it with my net. "put it in my cage!" he ran over and held out his cage. i put the frog inside and laid down. "what should we name it?" he said resting his back against a tree. "hmm how about bean?" i asked, "YES! that's perfect!" he said looking at bean. "i think bean will get along well with hector!" "who's hector?" i asked him, "oh, he's my dog!" he said smiling, putting bean's cage down and walking over to me and laying beside me. we laid down for a while, enjoying each other's company.
i felt a drop of water on my nose and then all over. "hey, it's raining!" i said standing up, holding my hand out to kel. he grabbed my hand and i pulled him up grabbing his other hand and spinning around with him. we kept spinning till we got dizzy and fell.
but as soon as we fell, we got right back up. we were just messy dancing, but it felt like we were doing so much. it felt like we were high, which honestly i wouldn't be surprised if we were, cause we seemed so out of it. i put my head on kel's shoulder and kept dancing, kel then whispered in my ear,
"i love you."
"i love you too."
in that moment, i didn't realize the mass importance of what he said. all i did was reply and dance. i started feeling sleepy so i slowly fell asleep in his arms.
when i woke up i was laying in a field of grass surrounded by trees. while i was asleep the clouds parted, to reveal the sun shining. kel was laying next to me sleeping, i got up and shook kel a bit so he could wake up. "h-huh?" he spoke in a drowsy voice, "can we go back to your house now?" i asked, "yeah." we both got up and headed back to his house.
- mini time skip -
we opened the door to his house and walked up to his room. "can i visit hero now?" i asked him, "yea. i'll stay in here, i don't wanna intrude or anything." "alright." i walked over to hero's room and knocked, "come in." i heard him say. i walked in and saw his room was extremely messy. i walked over to his bed and sat down. "how are things doing?" i asked him. "fine." he replied. "have you been outside your room yet?" i asked, "no." "will you sometime soon?" "no." "will you ever?" "can you stop?" he said slowly getting up off of his bed, "i barely fucking know you and you're asking me all these dumb questions," he said walking closer to me while i was walking back. "YOU HAVE NEVER EVEN TALKED WITH ME THAT MUCH. WHY DO YOU FUCKING CARE??" he started yelling at me. tears started streaming down my face, "I DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT YOU!" he yelled while rambling.
kel pov:
i was sitting on my bed watching tv, waiting for y/n to be done when i heard yelling from hero's room. i immediately rushed to hero's room and saw y/n on the floor crying while hero was yelling at her. i ran over to y/n and hugged her. i turned around and saw hero crying. i walked over to him and hugged him i said reassuring things to him and calmed him down. "i-i'm so sorry y/n. i don't know what came over me." he said drying off his face. "it's alright." she said and hugged him. we left hero's room and went back into mine, "i'm gonna go home now, i'm exhausted." "alright."
