3rd Pov
It was just another sleepless night for gaara he was alone at the top of the Kazekaga building watching stars again.
Gaara's Pov
'I am scared.'
'Of course, I am not scared of dying or anyone. I am just scared of failing everyone. Yea, i know My village might have treated me the worst in the past, but now I am the kazekaga and they all have great expectations from me. And i have no fucking idea what to do!'
"Shut the fuck up bitch, how many times are you gonna tell me the same shit again and again" Shukaku said.
"Yea sorry, at this point i can't think of anything else...we are literally the weakest" I said.
"What do you mean we?...just you are and please don't repeat the same shit again and again" Shukaku said.
"Yes yes i won't" i said.
"You said that last night too" Shukaku Said.
"I did-"
"Gaara"i heard Kankuro calling me.
"Yes Kankuro, any problem?" I asked.
"Yes you need to see this, it's a letter from Akatsuki" Kankuro said.
"From Akatsuki...that's- let me see that" i said as he gave me the letter.
"Fuck" i mumbled reading the letter.
"As expected, you don't trust them either" Kankuro said.
"Yea, No, it's more complicated" i said.
"How" Kankuro asked.
"Let's say they are trustworthy and don't intend to cause any harm to our village, but Akatsuki is still a recognised criminal organization all around the world. No powerful village wants it to exist, so it's simple, working with them will completely destroy our reputation and, we cannot reject them either because I am afraid if we did, Akatsuki would definitely take action and Sunagakure is not really strong enough" I explained.
"That's a new problem now i guess" Kankuro said.
"Oh yea it is, but let's see" I said.
"Kankuro, i want to protect everyone, but i don't think i am strong enough, i am sorry" i continued.
"Gaara don't be sorry, you are strong and i not letting you go alone in a fight anyway, i am your brother Gaara! I am gonna fight alongside you and if you are dying i am gonna die with you too" Kankuro said.
"Don't waste your life for someone like me Kankuro- nevermind i am gonna talk with you later" i sighed.
"At least 4 of them will be arriving. Let everyone know" i said.
"Yes gaara" He replied.
*Two days later*
"They are here" Kankuro said.
"Send them in" i replied.
"Greetings Kazekage-Sama" Uchiha Shisui said.
"Uchiha Shisui" i replied.
"So you know me Kazekage-Sama that's nice" Shisui said.
"Yes i know all of you expect you" i said looking at a blonde kid.
"That's okay it was expected. Well, his name is-"
"Uzumaki Naruto" Naruto spoke up.
"Konoha's Jinjuuriki... I once heard the news about Akatsuki kidnapping him but didn't expect that they would make him join them" i said.
"I joined willingly" Naruto said with a straight face.
"I see" i said.
"Well let's talk now, shall we" Shisui said.
