David

Jonas hears a door being unlocked, he turned towards the sound. He sees a figure in the doorway."Jonas, I bet you have many questions, come with me." The strange man tells him. Jonas follows him only because he wants some answers. "Oh, by the way. you can call me David."

David. What a strange name. In the community there were no Davids. David led them into a room with just a table in it. On each side of the table was a chair. David sat in one so Jonas took this as a hint to sit in the other. "Jonas, before you start asking questions I need to make sure of one thing. Gabe, can he receive memories?"

"Um, yes." Jonas said nervously. "Can I ask you something David?"

"Sure Jonas you can ask me anything."

"How do you know mine and Gabe's names?"

"We here have been studying you for a while. We knew there was going to be something special with you. Guess what, we were right." David said matter of factly.

"What do you mean studying me?" Jonas asks puzzled.

"I forgot to tell you where you are didn't I?"

"Well, the loudspeaker told me that I was in Denver. Is this another community?" Jonas asks, excited that this might just be another community.

"No, Denver is a city. Jonas, what I am about to tell you is going to be very shocking. Your whole life is a lie. The communities are something that the United States Government came up with. The population is dying. Within the next 100 years every human will be dead. Except for the people in the communities. People in the communities have Genetically pure Genes that protect them from the virus. Jonas you have these genes. You are here to save the human race." David says wiping his brow like he was sweating.

"WHAT?" Jonas exclaimed. "YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO SAVE EVERYONE?"

"Well, technically no. All of the communities are going to save us, not just you." David reassured Jonas

"What did you mean when you said that you were studying Gabe and I?"

"Wellll, we may or may not have cameras in the communities. Well just your community really. We were the closest to Denver and we didn't want you to find out. You guys were also always the most rebellious."

"So you have just have been watching us?"

"Technically yes, but it is for scientific research so it is okay."

"HOW IS THAT OKAY?"

"Well, it sounds better in my head." David says scratching his head.

"Ya think?" Suddenly someone bust through the door. 

"Elijah is dead."
