Immediately, the went to destroy the locks on each of the two pillars that kept the chains on her.
The lower ones were easy, but there was one problem.
As soon as the lower locks were busted, she was casting magic against Shantae, in attempts to wound her while she tried to grab Whitty while they were trying to reach and destroy the middle locks.
At one point, she almost had Whitty in her grasp when the middle lock on his side was 1 hit away, making him fall from the platform.
But before he could hit the ground, he quickly used his Air Bomb under himself to reach the highest lock, firing one last firebolt at the middle lock, destroying it, but that also gave the Queen Mermaid a better chance at grabbing him, while she still casts her magic to hit Shantae.
Shantae: 'This doesn't make sense! Why is she mostly focusing on Whitty, not to mention trying to grab him while I have to dodge her spells?! I don't understand!'
And with that, she busted the middle lock on her side and jumped up to reach the upper lock.
Despite all that, the duo manage to destroy the last locks, making her snap the chains from the pillars, destroying them. Then, she submerges into the water.
Shantae: Phew! You're safe now.
