Chapter 10: The demon's arrival

Surprisingly, it took less then a day of the scout arriving for the demons to arrive. I was starting to get bored and the dwarves saw this so they told me to activate my second barrier.

It would let me go outside but still be protected. I wanted to see the demons myself so I did as I was told. I look to the sky and I realize that the sun in nowhere to be seen. The demons have covered so much of the barrier, that light can't get through. Well at least my temple and castle glows and I can see the faint glow of the pearl palace.

I can see the demons feature and it looks different then I imagined it to be. Their skin colour was dark red, almost black. They had glowing red markings all over their bodies. They were all naked. Some had wings, some just flew without wings and some were carried by flying mounts.

There is only one problem I have with the mounts they are riding on. Those are either wyverns or beautiful rainbow haired unicorn. "Athena, are those beast loyal to the demons" I ask Athena and she shakes head. "No and yes. See those collars around their neck. Those collars force them to be loyal. After those collars are on, there is no way to free them."

I am the goddess of creation, I can easily create something that others can't. I am sure I can make it. I ask the dwarves to make me a barrier, however this barrier is to keep people from going out. It needs to be big enough to cover Libya. They can live there until I find a way to destroy the collars. They nod and go to make the barrier.

"Shadow! Spark! Knock out the mounts and Bring all them to Libya." I yell at my dragons and show them the picture of where Libya is at. It seems like the people on the mounts were high ranked demons because they went into my domain barrier with some effort. After my dragons were finished, I called them back to aid in the battle against the higher ups. The dragon were able to take care of all of them, however there was one person who I continued look at.

I made my dragons stay away from him. He was riding on a dragon that was twice the size of my dragon. After a while of glaring at each other, he told the others to retreat. Athena had a confused look the moment she saw the mounts.

I would like to say it was a easy battle but if it not were for shadow and spark, I would not have won. I hope the others are doing well. "Athena are you okay? You seem off." I ask Athena who is still confused and now muttering to herself.

"It's not possible." She finally looked at me and said. I tilt my head in confusion "what's not possible?" I ask and Athena scratches her head. "Their mounts, no one, not even the demons can create those mounts unless they are gods. It's impossible" Athena half screamed. I have never seen her this worked up before.

"Maybe they stole it from another god, after killing them?" I half ask nervously. "No, if a divine being dies, anything that is created by them dies. It would be impossible for the demons to reject their instincts to kill the gods. In short, even if the collars were on, the moment the god dies, so do they" Athena rambles as I look at her.

"The collars, can it be used on gods?" I ask her calmly and she freezes. "I-I don't know. Maybe it's possible. If that's the case- but still they won't be able ignore the demon instincts" she is starting to get flustered. "Alright Athena, let's calm down. We need to have clear mind. We won't be going anywhere if we just make theories without proof solid proof" I tell her and she nods.

I face back to my small army, the two dragons, three dwarves, seven Demi-humans, Luna and Athena. Along with Osiris and Athene. "Great job everyone, there is food in the castle (prepared it before the horde came) let's eat!" The small army cheers and we all go to the castle.

The feast over, the celebration was done and I was tired so I retired to my bed after saying goodbye. I made sure everyone had a place to stay so I don't need to worry about their housing. It was when I was practically asleep, I got the message from the great library. The message brought relief to me as well as confusion.
[hello again, I hope you have learned your lesson. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will have to stop the invasion once and for all but if another divine hurts my children, there will be nothing stopping me from destroying all of you. Anyway, all of you made it through alright except the God of Beast. He will go through the rebirth and reincarnation process unless one of you want him. As usual the eight people with the best scores will get a gift. The systems will tell you about the circumstances]

Well, that means that the demon horde won't come everyday but the fact it has stopped because of a circumstance makes it weird. How bad could it be that even the great library had to take away a severe punishment like this. "Athena, what's the circumstance?" She asked Athena who is currently very pale. This confirms my suspicion of the circumstance being something really bad.

"The demon army has evolved without the command of the great library. They have detached themselves. Without the great library control, she doesn't know what will happen. Furthermore, there is something weird going on in the demon army, which not even the great library can determine. A map will be given from the great library and if anyone can solve what's going on in the demon army and report it to the library, then they will given a huge gift, recognition and more." Athena concludes the information given by the great library.

"I am going to guess the map says where the demon army is?" I ask and she shakes her head. "The map shows all places in existence. It was like the screen of "google maps" where you could use you finger to shift the map and see other places" I look at her blankly for a few minutes and jump from my bed.

"What you're telling me is that not only is there a demon army, god knows how large is planning something with something or someone "weird" but also that we have no idea where they are and all we can do is go everywhere until we bump into them" I raise my hands at sky at annoyance, not at her but the situation. I rub my forehead and decide to go to sleep. I am too tired today. I have to do many things and haven't got a wink of sleep. I will see the map and gift later.
