Chapter 4: Game Finally Begins

"hey it's time to begin the game, everyone's here," Athena says with a smile, which shocks me out of my boredom. "finally!" I yell and raise my hand to the sky. I hear a ding* sound somewhere around my echoing temple.

[welcome all players! you have been selected to play the game of luck. Do not worry this is not a game that will kill you, at least not for the divine, however, it is a game that decides who is the supreme among all races. the winner will be able to enter the great library and access all my knowledge. I am the great library and you will not get many messages from me and I will not repeat myself so listen carefully. for those who are reincarnated as one of many chosen species, you are able to level up and become strong, when the divine makes a new world, you will get a choice to transfer to that world. be aware that you will not have any information about that world and the only thing you can bring with you is your race, power, luck coins, and energy. As for the divine, you will be given a gacha machine and it will be located in your newly made temple. if you did not create a temple then you will need to create a temple, until then you will not gacha machine. the temple has many functions yet to be discovered by you lot. you are able to gift blessings and whatnot. anyway, I would suggest you make your domain first before going onto any kind of world. know this, eight of you divines are already ahead of others. may luck be with all. P.S if you do not wish to participate, then your memory will be erased and you will be reborn as a baby back in earth in a random family. attention to the systems, i will give the 20 strongest species reincarnation a special message, and the eight divines will also get a message from me.]

that was a lot of information to process. I look at Athena in hopes that I am one of the eight divines who got the special message. "indeed you have gotten a special message from the great library. the great library has given you 200 luck coins and 10 divine coins for a start, however, it has not told me, how to use the coins. it has said to figure this out on your own" Athena said with a smile.

I go towards my temple because it is one of the biggest pieces of information the library has given me. if my temple is this important, that means all the system is required to tell us about the temple right? "Athena, are all the systems required to tell the divines about the temple?" I ask her. "kind of, you would have to ask me a specific question along the lines of "what should I do now, or what can I do?" for the system to say anything about the temple. " she tells me and I nod in understand and then frown. "does this mean there are other questions that I have yet to unlock?" I ask her. "I cannot say for sure because the moment you asked the question I got a signal from the library, without that signal, I would not have been able to remember the answer. so there might be but I am not sure" she answered.

when I reach the temple, I can see a new golden door placed in my temple. when I open it, it becomes clear that this room is not just for gacha machines but for a whole arcade. "all the reincarnation species have one gacha machine." Athena tells me and I make a face at that. "is that not unfair for the others? I mean I have a whole arcade while the other species have only one gacha machine" I ask her and she shakes her head. "a divine is above all else no matter what power they possess. it is only natural for you to have an arcade. you cannot be compared to people you can easily create and destroy with a thought. a species, even the reincarnation one cannot be compared to a god. when you were a human, did you think you beat your earthly god? even thinking such a thing in your human body would make your earthly god laugh but now that you yourself are a goddess, you have a good chance of defeating him. that is how life is, it is never fair to people who have a limited life span and power" she tells me with a serious face.

I sigh and go inside the arcade room. it is a beautiful place and every gift in the games are top-notch, some things, i don't even what they are. all I know is they are something to look forward to. "what if all the gifts run out?" I ask Athena and she laughs "the gifts are randomized and refilled every day by the library. there is no way it will run out," she says and points towards one of the gacha machines.
