Stefania began to stir awake in her seat as her plane landed at the Los Angeles International Airport. She pulled out her phone and looked at the time, which read 7:15 pm. Texts began flooding her phone since she had service again, but one text in particular made her smile.

Bambina

Hey :) I'm inside waiting for you by the baggage claim. Take your time. Can't wait to see your face!

Can't wait to see you bella! I'll be out shortly

The brunette grabbed her overhead bag from the compartment and began making her way out of the plane. She couldn't help but to yawn, as she had been flying for over 12 hours. The thought of seeing her girlfriend was the only thing keeping her awake.

Danielle waited at the bottom of the escalator near the arrivals gate and felt her heart rate pick up when she saw Stefania coming down. Both women locked eyes with one another and the second Stefania stepped off the escalator she ran to her lover with her arms wide open.

"Hi bambina!" The brunette said as she jumped into the blonde's arms. "I missed you so much."

"Hey you," Danielle said calmly while inhaling the smell of her girlfriend that she had missed so much. "I don't think I can go 2 weeks without seeing you again."

Stefania disengaged from the hug and grabbed Danielle's cheeks to close the gap between them with several kisses.

"Let's go get your suitcase so we can head out. I have a surprise for you in the car," Danielle said with a smile as she grabbed the brunette's hand and led the way.

After they got Stefania's luggage, they walked out to Danielle's car which was still running. When Stefania opened the passenger door, her dog Jeff was on the seat wagging her tail happily with her mouth wide open and tongue hanging out.

"Jeff!" Stefania explained happily while picking her dog up. "Oh sweet baby, momma missed you!"

"I knew she would be excited to see you," Danielle said while laughing as she watched Jeff cover Stefania in wet kisses.

"Thank you for bringing her, bambina," Stefania said as she got in the car with a big grin.

"Of course," the blonde said as she placed her hand on Stefania's thigh. "We missed you." Before driving away from the airport, Danielle gave Stefania a small peck on the cheek.

"Danielle?" Stefania looked at her girlfriend with sleepy eyes.

"Yes?"

"Next time I go to Italy, you're coming with me."

"Really?" Danielle's eyes lit up with excitement as a smile grew on her face. "I'd love that."

"Great," Stefania replied as she took Danielle's hand and gave it a loving squeeze. "Now, if you don't give me a real kiss within the next 5 seconds we're going to have a problem."

"Stef," Danielle said while looking at Stefania, who was fast asleep with Jeff on her lap. The blonde began gently rubbing her arm to wake the brunette up. "We're home."

Stefania slowly opened her eyes and realized that they were finally back home. "Mmmm," the brunette hummed. "Feels good to be back."

The brunette got out of the car and walked inside with Jeff while Danielle brought Stefania's suitcase inside. Stefania gasped when she saw what the kitchen looked like, which made Danielle begin to laugh. Their kitchen table was covered in candles, red roses, food, and a few bottles of champagne on ice.

"Bella..." Stefania asked with a shocked look on her face. "You did all this for me?"

"Just wanted to do something nice for you since you were gone for so long," Danielle replied with a shy smile.

A smirk quickly grew on Stefania's face before she responded. "I can think of a few nice things to do to you..." She grabbed the strings on Danielle's sweatshirt and pulled the blonde in for a passionate kiss.

"No, no no," Danielle said with a smile as she backed away. "Save that for later. Let's eat first."

"Okay, but let me change. I want comfy clothes," Stefania said as she walked off to their bedroom.

In the meantime, Danielle grabbed two champagne glasses and set them down on the table. She popped open a bottle and filled the two glasses to the top. The blonde sat down and waited for her girlfriend to finish changing. A few more minutes passed by, and Stefania was still not back yet.

"Where's your momma?" Danielle asked Jeff, who was laying on the floor next to the table. "Let's go see what she's up to."

The blonde got up from the table and ventured into their bedroom, where she stopped in her tracks as soon as she walked through the door. A huge smile grew on her face and she began to lightly chuckle at the sight in front of her. The brunette had managed to put on an oversized t-shirt and sweatpants, but fell asleep during the process. She was sprawled out across their bed on her stomach like a huge starfish. The blonde went back into the kitchen and quickly put away the food and champagne that was out. The feeling of being wrapped up in Stefania's arms sounded much more appealing than eating and drinking.

After everything was put away, she went into their bedroom and quickly changed into pajamas so she could finally get some cuddles.

"Babe," Danielle said with a laugh. "You're taking up the entire bed. King bed may I add!"

Stefania began to stir a little bit and began mumbling with her face buried in her pillow. She rolled over onto her side, half asleep, before responding. "I fell asleep, didn't I?"

"Yes," Danielle responded as she began getting into bed. "It's okay, I'm sure you're exhausted."

"I'm sorry bambina... Come," said Stefania while she patted the spot in bed right next to her.

The blonde snuggled up close to the brunette, with Stefania as the big spoon and Danielle being the little spoon. Stefania wrapped her arms tightly around Danielle's waist, and had no intentions of letting her go.

"I love you," Stefania whispered to Danielle's while she kissed her neck.

Danielle had the warmest feeling in her heart, and the biggest smile drawn on her face. "I love you so much... I'm so glad you're home."

"You know... it's funny," Stefania said as she began gently rubbing Danielle's arm. "As much as I love Italy, it doesn't really feel like home when I go back. Ever since my mamma passed away, it hasn't felt the same."

"I'm sorry, babe," Danielle said as she held onto Stefania's arms. "Your mom would be so proud of you."

"I didn't find my home until I met you, bambina. You are my home."
